Horrible customer service. Bought my first brand new lawnmower. $400 Toro 22" mulcher, self-propelled walk behind . Terrible mistake. Went into Ace at 7:45 pm to get a part for the carburetor when the arrogant man in the "service department" oh too happily announced that they do not service Toro nor do they carry the parts, all the while I'm standing right next to the same mower I purchased not 12 months prior. I then proceeded to search for some JB Weld to try to repair my pot metal piece when the tight pants wearing, overly anxious manager asked me if I needed help. I told him what I wanted and he directed me to the JB Weld. As soon as we get to it he literally snatches the epoxy I was holding out of my hand and replaced it with a new variety and assumed i didnt want the epoxy i was holding. He quickly let me know that they were closed! Yes, they closed at 8pm and it was 8:15. I certainly didnt want to keep him up past his bedtime, but I wanted to tell him that I easily spend at least $125 a month in his establishment and I needed a few more items. He was already gone ! He obviously could care less...This place is a joke, .Apparrently I'm not worth a few extra minutes. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. THEY WOULD RATHER YOU...
Read moreTook my leaf blower in to have the pull cord replaced last Thursday and they charged me a $35 dollar bench fee , they said is was something new that charge up front when you leave something for repair. I ask the service writer about about this because I didnt want to pay more than it was worth and they told me they give it back when you pay the labor and parts when you pick it up. They called me on Monday that it was ready for pickup. When I got their they charged me a Shop Diagnostic fee of $35 and $48 labor and $9.95 parts total $93.82 to replace a pull cord . I questioned the charge with the front end manager about the deception on the charges and he said that is what it is and walked off. I have spend thousands with Ace Hardware on our company charge account over the past 20 years. I ask were the office was at and paid off our charge balance and closed the account. Buyer beware at Ace now just another money hungry corporate store instead of a local hardware store that treats the customer fair . $93 dollars to fix a pull cord on a ten year old blower that i purchased from them...

I shopped at the Hwy 58 store for almost 20 years. On occasion there were very friendly employees; that's why this store gets a 2.. However, the manager never made me feel welcome. He would show me just what he had to.
I learned just how bad it was when I shopped at the East Ridge location. Wow! What a difference. Customer service was excellent! No matter who I passed I was asked if I found what I needed or if I needed anything else. One was the store manager who gave me a genuine smile. I look forward to...
