So this past week my wife and I decided to give this place a try! We were recommended to go here after a few of my wife’s co-workers had raves about it! Well this was a huge mistake ! The food was mediocre and the customer service was extremely poor! When I placed my order I was told it would take 15-20 minutes ok not bad right? Well that was wrong. I got there right at the 20 minute mark I walk into there lobby area cause of COVID-19 they have dividers up with plexiglass I could see into the restaurant I could hear someone talking, but no one came to great me or anything I stood there for 5 minutes! I finally called the restaurant and the young gentleman got up from the booth he was sitting at which was facing the door but he was playing on his laptop and was too involved with that than me the customer at the counter, I told him it was me calling I said I was there pick up an order, he said ok just a few more minutes and he immediately went back to his laptop didn’t go check didn’t even ask my name for the order or anything! After waiting about another 10 minutes I was starting to get frustrated I yelled to him and said excuse me he then said oh hey what did you order I informed him of my order he walked around the corner and came right back he then said they are packaging it up now I said ok about 10 more minutes he finally comes with my food 45 minutes after I ordered and then stated it was the sushi they were having an issue with I just said whatever and paid and left ! I will never NEVER go back to this place obviously whatever he was doing on his laptop was wayyyyy more important than a paying customer...
Read moreI really wanted to leave a positive review because some of their dishes are genuinely good, and they serve generous portions—but I just can’t. Their customer service is severely lacking. I placed a takeout order for myself and two coworkers, scheduled for an 11:30 AM pickup. I arrived at 11:48, only two of the orders were ready. This was frustrating because our lunch break is limited, and I still had to get back to Shallowford to eat. When I asked how much longer it would take, the woman at the counter immediately got defensive, saying, "Well, you ordered sushi, and that takes longer." Since she avoided the question, I asked again for an estimated wait time, and she responded, "Well, I’ll have to go ask." She eventually came back and said it would be another 10 minutes and quickly left again. Mind you, I was the only customer there, and the parking lot was empty. It would have been nice to know in advance that their sushi takes an hour (which is baffling) to prepare before placing the order. I didn’t argue and just waited. Not once did she apologize. Instead, she left me alone in the lobby and then sent out her pre-teen child to bring me the food. When I finally got back, my coworker came to me and said, "I’ve got to say, that was the worst sushi I’ve ever had." I hadn’t even mentioned what happened to her. Read moreTried once right after the switch to new owners and food was fresh and not bad. Overpriced. Ordered again today and it was terrible. It was 30 minutes before close so not sure if just old. There was a hair in my food, everything was really salty, had to put chicken fried rice back in a skillet to finish cooking myself and shrimp fried rice stunk. Of course they are closed so cant bring back. Definitely lost customers here.
Update . Called to advise of the issue anf the manager told me to come in for a refund and would talk to her boss. Came in after work same day and was told nothing could be done bc they have had no other complaints and all thier food is from the same place and shrimp is pre cooked. Also asked if I took a picture of the hair in my food and was told I should go to the doctor if we were sick to see if it was thier food. Seriously?!
