CMC is a well ran, multi faceted Hardware store that hasn't forgotten what Good Ole' Customer service is about. Was made to feel comfortable the first and the last time I shopped there. I will go out of my way to go to CMC rather than Lowes or Home Depot. Been in the latter two stores 1000+- times combined. Still waiting on that help on the electrical isle. I have never once had to wait for a knowledgeable, courteous team member at CMC to guide me through my complete purchase if need be. Never had to hear about their being overworked, under payed, wife left them, blah, blah... We all have problems. When I am in a Hardware store it's apparent that I myself have a problem I am trying to fix. I can leave my life advice in the truck at CMC. Get my products, pay, get a Thanks for Shopping, and exit. I rented a concrete grinder from this company and it was given to me and deplorable condition. I went through grinding discs at about three times the normal rate my brother worked on it for an hour to get where we could finish the job I brought it back, asked to speak to the owner and I explained to him how dissatisfied I was $75 he charged for grinding Will I went to Harbor freight and got three of them for $32 apiece. I explained that to him and everything and he just grabbed my invoice out of my hand and he said why don’t I just refund your money and you get the hell out of my store. I make an effort to support local businesses. I've given CMC chance after chance to earn my business although after them charging me 40% restocking fee for over ordered flooring, which came out to about $300 they kept. Then quoting me $2653 tax and delivery included for a drain pipe. But when I gave them my tax exemption, Ken tried to say tax wasn't included so he could pocket what I saved in tax.
