This Anytime Fitness is an outstanding gym with an attentive and friendly staff who truly care about their customers. Since the ownership changed about a year ago, this gym has improved immensely.

The equipment is kept in good working condition – including the headphone jacks on the cardio equipment. During the past year the staff has added lots of new equipment that allows members to significantly expand their workout routines. They keep the facility clean! Us regular customers appreciate the well-stocked gym wipes and use them to wipe down the equipment after each use. The restrooms are kept clean and stocked. They’ve added a refrigerator with various drinks, a coffee maker, and have a selection of other healthy snacks. An example of the attention to detail they place in this gym is the motivational fitness-focused drawings that a very artistic staff member draws on the black-board wall.

The staff is exceptional! Tommy, the manager who we routinely see during early morning workouts, is obviously backed with the full support of the new owner. Tommy is quick to address any issues. He and the other staff I have met are always welcoming and show true appreciation to their customer base. I’ve made two recommendations (to add a specific weight lifting bar for a cable machine and to add a music video channel to the TVs on the cardio equipment) and both were added. This gym has personal trainers, including Tommy himself, who are motivational and work closely with their clients. However, even if an individual is not a personal training client, if they have a specific question the staff is always happy to provide a thorough answer and demonstrate how to use the equipment.

I signed up at the end of 2016 and have since been relocated for work. I need to cancel my membership due to being unable to use the facilities (over 40 miles away and no other location in north eastern North Carolina) The manager, Kayla, of this location was very rude and uncaring towards my situation. She had no sense of compassion, and just said over and over again that I should have read the fine print of the contract. I am unable to cancel for a year no matter what my situation. I was not thoroughly explained this when I signed up. In fact, this was not mentioned at all. Secondly, I was told that the gym charges a small fee when new equipment is needed. On the second month of payment they pulled $70.00, DOUBLE the monthly fee I signed up for. This was not what was explained to me. The employees are not trained with accurate information and do not care to help when there is an issue. I find this to be absurd and hope that your entire franchise/ business is not set up on such character. I used this gym for one week due to being relocated and no one is willing to find a way to help me. Even the owner was extremely rude to my pregnant wife on the phone and said that I should have read the fine print before signing and he did not care if his employees did not thoroughly explain the information. That it was my duty to read through it before doing so. Something needs to be done about this location, the employees training, and how the manager and owner treats their customers. So I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for four years now. (Once you sign up you get to go to all of the locations) this is by far the most disgusting location I have been to. I'm aware that the members have the responsibility of wiping down the equipment after each use, but there is no way that the staff is also cleaning it like they should be for it to look this gross. I have never been in there when there wasn't sweat on the seats and cardio equipment sticky. The bathrooms are just as bad last time I went in there the shower floor was black and there was a bug squished in there. Even the toilet seats were gross. Don't get me wrong I know its a gym and its going to have some grime. But! Anytime Fitness is a franchise! They have quality and customer service standards! At the very least it should be sanitary! Also, what I think may be they worse part and serve as a WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT SIGNING UP AT THIS LOCATION!!!!! They require you to sign in on a sheet at the front of the gym you have to write down your NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AGE, AND EMAIL they do not dispose of your information at all they just let it sit out front for weeks for anyone who walks into the gym to see.
