I really don't have many issues with this Target, but two events have left an unfavorable impression. I have been using the Pick up option a lot lately with no issues until now. I placed an order for pick up this past Monday, July 23. Ireceived notification immediately that one item was not available (kids bento box) and I could choose to have it delivered or pick it up when it was back in stock. No problem. Then I received a notification that the rest of my items were ready for pick up. I went the next day after work. Upon receiving my items, I noticed the two containers of kitty litter were not there and asked the associate. She said the item status was not fulfilled on her little computer thing. I raised my concern that my app specifically said that item was ready. Another associate came by and said the same thing and I would not be charged. I had my doubts, since I had received notification for other items that were not in store in this order, why did I not get one for this? so I waited to get the updated status in my car. Sure enough, it said I picked up the kitty litter. I walked back into the store and brought up my concern that it says I picked up my item. She was adamant that I would not be charge because they have it as being unfulfilled. I really felt like I was not being listened to because the charge was not my concern at that moment, I had an issue with the inconsistency of the order system. Surely, they could look it up. I don't know about you, but when I have a mistake made at work, I like to investigate to see what the issue is and try to resolve it. But no, they just were trying to get me out of the store. Since I did need the litter, they ended up giving me a discount on them (yeah, they actually had the shelves full of them. weird.) So I wait a couple days for the purchase to clear, and lo and behold, I was charged the full amount. Instead of going back to the store, I figured I would call the main number. The app did not have the number that I saw, but a little chat feature, so I write in my issue. It gives the old 'we are experiencing high volumes' or something and has a number to call. Since I was on my lunch break, I decide to just wait for the chat. Well, cut to the next day and no response. I decide to go ahead and call. They were relatively helpful. The girl didn't seem to believe me that I did not get my items, but gave me a refund in the form of a gift card. I thought it was fine, but after hanging up, I was thinking about how now I can only use that at Target and I used Paypal credit, so I will still pay interest on it. After calling back, there was nothing they could do since that was the agreement with PayPal regarding returns. But I feel cheated, because it wasn't a return. I never got the items in the first place and if the store associates had actually done something about in the beginning when I brought it up, this all could have been handled then. The second event is actually the first, as this happened a year ago maybe. Funny enough, I was purchasing kitty litter. I went through the self check out and scanned the wrong bar code. The machine got angry with me and started flashing. There was an associate standing at the check out next to me talking with a customer they seemed to know. I was being polite and waited to get her attention, but she walked off. I then turned to the cashiers at the registers and kind of shouted that I needed help and waved my hands (not like a crazy person. This is Target.) I figured they might be able to call someone over. But to no avail. I was there waiting for a good five minutes maybe more, with other self checkouters giving sympathizing glances, and no one came to help me. I left the litter on the floor...
Read moreThis review is for THIS particular Target. Overall, I am a big fan for Target but THIS particular store has lost all service and respect from me. I decided to check out this store because of it's proximity to the Sam's Club. That was my first and will be my only experience from THIS Target. While shopping, I saw that they were running a $5 promotional gift card for various items that included Betty Crocker (note: This ad said Betty Crocker, not select Betty Crocker). I had to buy ten of the participating items to receive the card. After picking out 10 of the items (amongst my other things) I go to check out. Shortly after receiving my receipt I realized that I still had not received the gift card. The cashier insisted that it was because items where supposed to be 10 of the SAME item to qualify. I pointed out that the ad does not say that. It turns out that a single Betty Crocker item was not ringing up as apart of the promotion. After finding this out, she then claimed that the particular Betty Crocker item in question was not a participating item, totally abandoning her earlier excuse. After fighting with this person for likely 5-10 minutes she tells me to head up to the front desk and to ask there. 2 minutes into my wait the previous cashier comes up with almost a smug face and points out who can only be the person in charge of all the cashiers. Giving me only partial attention, this new person agreed with my claim. (By the way, no apology from the cashier. She actually marched away angrily.) I got the $5 on a regular gift card that says $15. I inquired about that and she said it would work. Well it didn't! I went to my normal, favorite Target store and the card had a $0 balance. The records for the gift card show NO funding of exactly $5 ever existing. After hearing my story, my favorite Target (the one on Independence) gave me the $5 anyways after believing me. I'm certain that if I went back to THIS Target with that gift card I would have been put through the same non-sense and probably have not been given the $5. I'm glad this was resolved by my favorite Target. The attitude of this cashier with the apparent lack of attention that resulted in a faulty $5 promotional card has made me believe that I can't trust this Target to give me the experience I expect from each and every Target. This Target will not see anymore of...
Read moreMy family has been shopping at Target since it's opening, and for the most really enjoyed the store and the friendly staff, however this is not true now because the staff is nothing like it was, its a lot less customer friendly. Now my story, I'll try to keep it short. Daughter takes parent's debit card to buy a 55" TV, purchased TV and returned home and realized she does not have the card so she retraces her steps going back to Target. She walks up to a dressed police officer and ask if anyone has turned in a debit card, fortunately for her the police officer tells her yes an older lady turned it in to me saying she found it on the floor heading outside. The officer turned it in to the customer service counter, he continues to walk my daughter to the counter and ask the associate if he could see the card that just 20 minutes ago gave to the same lady. Now it can't be found officer scratches his head and says I just gave it to you, she stated I know but it must have fell behind the drawer.,and we will have to wait for maintenance tomorrow to take the drawer out.. So I call and ask for the store Manager , no luck, talked to a nice lady and she told me she would call as soon as she fines out something, and will have the store manager call me the next day, (never happened ). So I called the next afternoon and get the store manager but no help and the reason for not calling me was he was too busy and he didn't have all the information yet, I told him the whole story and he said he was sorry my daughter lost our card. So I reminded him his customer service lost my card. Still it's been 6 days and still no call. Be careful with your credit/debit cards at Target. And most of all some of the employees. I personally think someone had other plans for the card. Very bad customer service and has lost me and the...
