I like Hartford healthcare overall. I would probably go back here if I needed to be seen for an actual urgent care issue as the Staff here were nice enough (thus 2 stars instead of 1 star for this review), just not informed on what to do if something was outside their standard routine. THIS SITE SHOULD NOT BE LISTED A COVID19 TESTING SITE. It is a negligent misrepresentation and YOU WILL BE SURPRISE BILLED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR AN URGENT CARE VISIT. The clunky confusing website, appointment booking, and awful computer phone tree are grossly misleading. So much for the $0 or free COVID19 test and it's impact on public health for people not wanting to be tested in the future. Despite my multiple attempts to address this during the visit, including upon checking noting I am not here for treatment when I was asked, then again when I was told to sign on an electronic signature scanner for my "Treatment visit" with no documentation provided to review... said again I am here just for a COVID19 test (so everyone in the waiting room can hear since this is not the most HIPPA compliant building... but the building itself is nice). Yet I get in to a room and then the MA/receptionist started going through a treatment visit, and starts taking my vitals, and I told her to stop as, I am just here for the COVID19 test and a treatment visit, she said it was standard procedure and it had to be done regardless. I told her it actually does not have to be done but the test was next so I can't argue with someone who is not empowered by the system to change something (not her fault). However after the test, I was told the provider would be right in for the exam... of which I said absolutely not that is not why I came... and I was told I HAD TO because I had "symptoms" (two of which I knew were actually not COVID symptoms so I was being overly cautious with the new variants, so I was being extra cautious) and a provider must see everyone. I said I will wait a few minutes for a provider but to discuss with them how wrong this whole situation is and not for treatment. After waiting for another long period of time (Was there for 30 minutes for what should have ben less than 5min), I said I am leaving as this was supposed to be an in and our thing and I had another appointment. The provider then noted from the other room she will be ready to examine in another few minutes... of which I no longer had the time. Yet, because I was FORCED to have my vitals done and misinformed about Hartford healthcare policies (I never received upon entering the billing or told where to access them or QR code them), they could now try to bill me hundreds of dollars for the full Bundled Service Urgent Care code. This isn't necessarily a staff issue as they can't possibly know all this either and they were nice enough for someone try to get basic answers they didn't have the ability to answer clearly. They just follow a script of "You have to be treated it's Hartford healthcare policy "issue. Remove this site as a COVID19 testing site until you can actually provide the test only... and not sucker people into paying hundreds of dollars for a FREE test... and reinforce people getting testing instead of now not wanting to get tested due to misrepresentation and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnless you have something just under ER-level serious, go elsewhere. The facility is clean and the staff are kind, but GoHealth will rob you blind. They bill at roughly $500 per hour before insurance.
I had what I suspected was a sinus infection after 3 days of negative COVID tests, and went in hoping to get a Zpack (I'm still attempting to find a primary care doctor). I was required to take a COVID test at the office, which is fine, and then was told you now have to wait 10 days before they'll offer a Zpack. No big thing; antibiotic resistant bacteria are a major issue. The PA told me to use Nasacort and come back if it didn't improve and I left with nothing. It didn't improve until at least the day 10 mark, but after getting the bill for that first visit I'm glad I didn't go back.
The bill is over $200 after insurance and contains a code that references "New customer, 30-44 minutes." If I spent more than 20 minutes with the actual PA, I will eat a shoe. At least 12 minutes of my appointment was taking the required COVID test and waiting for it to process, even though I had 3 negative ones leading up to it. I called customer service and was told the appointment is not based on time and that they'd send me a line item bill to dispute with insurance. Know what that bill says? It more clearly spells out 30-44 minutes as the single $375 charge before insurance. If I'm not billed for time, why is that the line item? And why can nobody give me the official time of my appointment? I'm all for taking a COVID test for your staff's safety, but why am I billed for time that I'm twiddling my thumbs while alone in the room and not actually receiving care?
Check my other reviews - I'm not one for negative reviews, but I learned an expensive lesson to find a PCP or use a Minute Clinic. I hope this helps save someone else a couple...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHartford GoHealth was awesome! They took me right in and put me in line for an appointment when I could not be seen by my regular primary care. Jessica, the PA, was outstanding. She was thorough and she asked every question and really talked with me about my condition. They even ran a bunch of tests for me to make sure that it was nothing serious. Everyone was very friendly and kind and I really had a great experience there. The only issue that I did have thatās worth mentioning is that they do take appointments online and those people get preference in the line when you get to the clinic. I looked for an appointment at nine in the morning and there was nothing available until 9 AM the next day. The whole purpose of going to the walk-in was to be treated right away, so it was frustrating not to be able to get an appointment. Unfortunately, it seems as though they allow people to make appointments to get Covid tests, so people who may be sick or really in need of some help have to wait a while to be seen. Having only one provider on staff seems like it slows things down a bit also. I understand having the Covid testing, but I feel as though one of the nurses could do the Covid tests and the PA or doctor could treat patients who have actual symptoms or issues that need attention. Thatās the only thing that I would so I was negative about my experience. The wait was probably close to an hour to actually be seen and then about 30 minutes or so with the doctor doing the testing and all that. Little longer than I would have liked but I do understand one person can only do so much. However they were great and helpful and friendly and I really felt like they were...
