C.J. Sparrow — Restaurant in Cheshire

I had dinner at CJ Sparrow Pub & Eatery on December 19th, after seeing the reviews and good word of mouth advertising. The food was very good......... and so was the service............once we finally got someone to come to our table to take our order. We were seated upon entering on a Tuesday afternoon. The place wasn't crowded at all, and immediately after sitting down, someone took our drink orders and brought them to our table. We were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes after, with servers walking past us frequently. A couple came in and sat behind us long after we sat down, and someone - the owner I think, came over and immediately greeted them and started chatting. I turned, and asked if perhaps we could get some service. The greeter stopped talking to his friends and came to our table with more than a hint of an attitude. I explained that we'd been ignored for over 10 minutes, and yet he immediately greeted those who just sat down. He apologized, and from that point on, the service was just fine. Our dinner would rate four stars, but with the service issue, I'm giving it three stars, overall. I'll give the place another try in the future, based upon the reviews and the fact that our...

CJ Sparrows is a traditional American Pub serving up bar food classics in Cheshire, CT. Conveniently located on South Main Street(across from McDonald,s), CJ Sparrows offers a variety of delicious bar favorites in a classic, dimly lit, wood-rich environment.

I first heard about this place from the WINGADDICTs Community on social media and I immediately knew I had to try their wings....and so do you! They offer a variety of rubs and sauces including Buffalo, honey garlic, bbq, jerk, garlic parm and thai peanut. My personal favorite is the garlic parm, although they are all good my favorites are the honey garlic and garlic parm. The jerk is good as well but it is in no way spicy.

If you are getting sides you MUST have the hand made onion rings. They are up there with some of the best I have ever had. If you are in the area definitely check out this local gem. You will not be...

I’ve been here many times with my family, food has always been great. Went tonight with just my husband and used the CHS football card to get our free app with the purchase of 2 entrees. We were told a burger and chicken sandwich were not considered “entrees” so the free app was not honored. This was coming from the bar tender, not the owner. My family uses this all the time when we come here and the menu does not clearly state what is considered to be an “entree” vs not. Very disappointed that even when we questioned it and were clearly unaware there was any sort of difference it was not kindly honored. We still gave the bar tender a tip but this left a bad taste in my mouth. Customer service and kindness goes a long way. Fix the menu wording and label the couple bucks more expensive dinners “entrees” so no one else...
