This place was pretty disappointing. My first clue should have been when I made the reservation and the employee answered the phone without saying “hello” or “thanks for calling Glazed Expressions, how can i help you?”. I came with a friend and when we arrived, we were given no instructions on what to do or how the whole painting/pottery firing thing worked. One of the employees helped us out when we finally asked how the process worked (this is after three different employees walked past us and we had been standing in the aisle for a good 10 minutes looking clueless). Their selection of pottery was also surprisingly small. There’s like one bowl option, one plate option, one mug option, one pitcher option, a few figurines and that’s it. It’s like they know people will come once and never come back. When we finished painting our pottery, the older checkout guy was pretty rude to us. It didn’t bother me until I called a week later on Thursday to confirm our pottery was done (they said it would be ready that earlier Tuesday) and the same guy answered the phone said “I’m not sure.” He then asked what pottery we had done and when i said a bowl and a pitcher he said “can’t be sure if it’s done. We have a lot of bowls and a lot of pitchers.” Like thanks that was super helpful??? When I finally went to go pick up our pottery another week later, they literally could not find our pottery and claimed they didn’t have anything in the system under neither my name nor my friend’s. After a few more minutes of typing in the computer, the guy finally found my name in the system and gave me my pottery. Disappointing experience, will not...
Read moreThis is one of those places where the product is good but the customer service is less than desirable. There’s a wide assortment of pottery objects to choose from and it is fun and therapeutic to paint. However, there is a man that’s been working there for some time and works most days out of the week who is super unfriendly. I’ve gone a couple of times and he’s always been super condescending. God forbid you have a question, he will roll his eyes at you and eventually answer your question but he will make you feel like you’re the dumbest person on the planet. There’s a younger girl that works there who’s super friendly, she’s great. I must warn you, they hardly ever pick up the phone (they’ve never picked up for myself or my mother) so if you try to call to see if your pottery is ready, good luck getting a hold of someone. We tried doing that, no one picked up so we went the next day to pick up our pottery and the same man refused to let us in because they were having a private party. My mother and I do not live close (plus I’m a cancer patient and it’s not easy leaving the house when you’re in pain). I suggested he bring the items out to us so we didn’t have to go in and he refused. At a certain time, he even laughed at my mother. I ended up telling him how unprofessional this was and how we weren’t coming back. He eventually came to the door and lied to my mother, saying that their website has information about private parties on their home page which isn’t true. He eventually got us the items when my mom told him we tried calling and even left a voicemail and no one called us back. We will never...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted to go early on Sunday afternoon. We decided to have lunch first at a place right down the road. When we passed by this place, they were empty except for one table. When we came back about an hour and a half later, they were no busier. Literally one table of people, that wasn't even full. When we got there, there was a single woman in line ahead of us and another couple in line behind us. The lady behind the counter turned away the single woman. Then, when we got to the counter, she stared at us blankly. We said, "it's just us two" and that we didn't have a reservation when she asked. She had a reservation list in front of her that I could clearly see. I saw about 4 different reservations at different times of the day. She looked at this reservation list for a good 5 minutes, whispering to herself as if she was doing math in her head. Then she told us we can't paint because we didn't have a reservation and they were full. There were like 6 tables completely open. Two of their tables were full of boxes. We turned around and walked out and saw her do the exact same thing to the couple behind us. All four of us were outside the store after that and laughing about this strange situation. We passed by a little later and they were still...
