Came across State and Liberty after an awful experience at Bonobos across the street, and thank God I did. My wife and I received a warm welcome from Paul and Dominick, the two gents working there.

I hadn't heard anything about the brand before seeing "Athletic Fit" on the window, so I got the full rundown of their mission and story behind their clothes. I mentioned I was in the market for some new dress pants after tearing a recent pair. I wear them fitted and the material usually has no flexibility - not the first time it's happened. Finding clothes that fit me due to my build is hard enough, but dress clothes are even more difficult. I tried a pair of their pants on, and that was it... game over. I've never worn something so comfortable and that fit snug with the perfect amount of breathing room - not even from Lululemon. And the crazy thing is, they're dress pants.

Since the pants were such a success (Bought two pair), I had to try the shirts. Same deal here - the fit was perfect and you can tell they were made with quality material. They carry both classic and trendy patterns. I almost pulled the trigger on a full suit but I had to pump the brakes a bit after adding two shirts to the pants. One of the best aspects of the whole interaction was the service - Paul and Dominick were extremely helpful and attentive. My fiancé and I were just grabbing lunch in the Lincoln park area, and we happened upon this store not knowing what type of clothing they sold. All I knew was that I was interested in a suit for our upcoming wedding.

We were warmly greeted by Ms. Davania who showed us their products and explained thoroughly what they were known for. She had me try a couple items and explained the process of getting a made to measure suit vs one off the rack. During the entire visit I felt no pressure to purchase any product however I had an enjoyable shopping experience. I didn’t want to bite the bullet that day and decided to come back another to mull on it.

Came back a week later on a busy Saturday and they were able to accommodate my brother and I on short notice, Agnes took my measurements and walked me thru the entire process of customizing my suit. She was very helpful and informative during the entire process.
