Please sign my petition to have the general manager fired for negligence.
Update: June 22, 2024 The sinks are still clogged and the disabled shower is still flooding with the water going out as far as the middle of the locker area. Went to the front desk as I was livid that the plumbing issues still haven’t been addressed after over a month and multiple conversations with staff and other managers. The sales manager has now informed me that the general manager will be on vacation for the next week. I was flabbergasted! The general manager has the audacity to go on vacation without taking care of serious plumbing issues at this club which affect the heath and safety of its members. Be on the lookout for a petition to have the general manager fired because I will be starting that this week. I will also be filing a report with the health department. This is not ok.
Update: June 15th, 2024
After my first review I got a reply from management to contact them to investigate further. Why? There are cameras in the front lobby so they can confirm staff is not there at night. The sinks and shower are in the locker room and can be EASILY checked. Why do I have to waste my time sending some email? So, I’m here today, weeks later and the problems in the locker room are much worse. The bracket to the handicapped shower head was missing and because it wasn’t replaced (easy peasy) now the entire shower head had broken off and there’s just a hose squirting water. Now, a plumber needs to replace the entire shower head, bracket and hose. Also, the handicapped shower is clogged and today I had to shower in 2-3” of water and it was going out into the locker area. The toilets take 2-5 flushes to actually flush, leading to multiple toilets being full of feces, urine and toilet paper. The front desk is still not staffed at night. I’ve been here over a dozen times and I’ve seen staff 3 times. A few weeks ago there were guys rifling through the drawers in the front desk. I asked them to check lost and found for an item and they did. The staff that was supposed to be on duty eventually came in, smelling very strongly of weed and told me those guys were not employees, and what they were doing wasn’t right. He also whined about his lunch break was shortened because of this. Funny thing is, that I had been seeing this guy every time I came, smoking weed in his car, and I never realized he was supposed to be the night staff. There is still a constant beeping from the alarm. I spoke to a new manager today and she said she’d check on the things I mentioned. One thing that really irritated me was the excuses I was getting, saying how these things take time, blah blah blah. Funny thing is that my bill must be paid on time every month on time or I cannot access the club so why should I have to wait over a month for simple things to get fixed. Also, this manager told me that there are multiple locations where the alarms beep all day and night and it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong. My suggestion was to call the alarm company and ask them to come out a check what the beeping is to stop it. The manager basically kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the alarm. Thing is, yes, there is something wrong. No alarm should beep constantly day and night. I’m so tired of the management at this location. This guy doesn’t care about his female members at all seeing as how the issues in the locker room have not been attended to and are worse now. He also doesn’t care much about the safety and security of the club after hearing multiple times that the desk wasn’t being staffed at night multiple times. Get it together 24-hour fitness. This is ridiculous! The manager of this club should be fired immediately!
Original review: This gym is terrible! The front desk is always empty at night with no staff anywhere. The locker room is disgusting. Multiple sinks are clogged. The handicapped stall has a shower head that just hangs from the rail because someone broke the mounting hook. There is a constant beep in the front...
Read moreIf there was an option to give 0 stars, I would. If you want to be at a gym where the staff do not genuinely care about the customers' concerns. Go here. If you want the staff to not listen to your concerns and respond to you weeks later, go here. This facility not only has machines that not perform perfectly (with major squeaky noises and weird balances), but the staff that have more "power" (e.g., general manager, fitness manager). They say that their interest is in the customer, but their actions say otherwise. I joined this club location and was bought into getting personal training (PT) for 10 weeks which costs $1400. This is obviously not cheap. Hence, I expected an amazing experience because 24 Hour Fitness is reputable and they talk so highly of their PT. My PT was late SEVERAL times to our sessions, and in those circumstances, I would just wait, but the general manager simply told me to just start stretching (on my own obviously). There were also many times when my PT would cut the 50 minute session MINUTES early. I paid a lot of money and it should be worth every penny, but as a customer, who would want to continue the PT with a trainer like this, especially under a manager who does not get the PT who is late right away, but instead tells the customer to just start warming up?! I decided I wanted to stop my sessions and get a refund for the sessions that I have not yet attended. I called the facility and was lied to that a refund was not possible and that I would have to talk to the Fitness manager to figure things out. Then, I resorted to the general customer service line, and was told that they cannot do refunds, but that I would have to call the club facility and ask for a refund directly and talk to the general manager. The general manager at this facility, for the lack of better words, is the worst and very unhelpful. First of all, he was never available, so I left forwarded messages for him to call me back. No response. I had to call every day to finally get in touch with him because he never responded to my messages. When I did get in touch with him, he was very unhelpful. The general manager, lied to me several times that a refund was not possible, when it clearly is. I can tell through my conversations with the general and fitness manager that they are very money driven and selfish and definitely are not customer-centered. Obviously, I cannot go into detail regarding my situation because that would take forever. Ultimately, I still have not gotten my money back (which I rightfully think I deserve because of the way I was treated during PT as a customer and how I have been lied to several times) and am left infuriated and highly unsatisfied as a patron of 24 Hour Fitness. By the way, I never even got a direct apology from my personal trainer for her actions. This location is very money-driven and does not put customers' and their interests first. I no longer even feel comfortable going to this gym anymore because I only see dollar signs in their eyes with their fake smiles. If you are not giving them money, they will not...
Read moreI was at the gym doing a lateral pull down with about 250 pounds of weight when I was performing the exercise the cable snapped, striking in the chest with the lateral pull down bar. It immediately knocked the air out of my chest. I felt immediate paying in my chest back and shoulders. I was approached by a member, and he asked if I was OK. I explained to him that it knocked out of me and I would the club manager. When I went downstairs to look for the manager, they told me that he was on his break working out. And that they would tell him once he’s off his break , he also stated that Staff members are instructed to not bother the manager while he’s on his break. So I went back upstairs to find the manager forest. Villa when I approached him with the situation and went over the injury with him and what happened, he continued to work out and told me that I can leave my information at the front desk and he will get to it when he was done with his workout. I was completely baffled by his response never have. I heard a manager in his position of a club react in this manner. The witness that seen the machine break had also approached the manager, letting him know what had occurred. The club manager Forest villa Completely ignored him as well. When I went downstairs to leave my information so that I can be contacted the staff members there had a very bad attitude and Looked at me in this aggressive intimidating manner. I have heard previously from other members that the staff at this location seems to think and have this entitlement that they own the place. Almost as if they don’t know that they’re representing a corporate gym . It’s obvious that they have not been trained appropriately or else this would not be happening. Judging by the club manager Forest villa manner on how he handled my Incident and injury. It’s clear to see why the staff members and himself believe that they can handle this in that way. I have also been a club Manager for over 10 years and I know firsthand that in any situation in the club with any Member That sustain an accident or an injury or doesn’t feel good and they need to call an ambulance or an emergency. They handle the situation immediately. I am very disappointed on the way this club handles their business. It’s a bad representation of not only themselves but also as a club. I believe that they should be reprimanded and also taught the appropriate way to handle this type of situation...
