Wow there is a lot to say about Tacos El poblano the first thing is that you need to know that when you get in there they trust you. What I mean by that is you walk into the counter by the tacos and order your tacos, torta s,quesadilla, mulitas, and you have your choice of three meats carne asada, birria or adobada. Watch you get to do is choose either a burrito, tacos, quesadilla, any other variations of it with the meat of your choice. Once you ordered you eat it and once you eat it you can also before I forget get your Waters or sodas from the register once it's done and you finish eating you come into the cashier and let them know that you are done and how many of each or whatever you ate you ate. Once you tell them they'll go ahead and charge you for it you pay and you're done very simple but it's something that we are not used to here. The flavor on their meats is always amazing, their beef is a great or 100% delicious, there's salsas if you're not used to ask but yet keep in mind that the majority of the sauces there are spicy. So with that said just make sure that you choose believe it or not the darkest one which is the least spicy, you can get your lemons, you can get your aguas frescas. And have the opportunity to have a good old time with everybody there. The cooks behind the bar are amazing always with a smile and always very helpful to teach you or to help you choose the best stories. With that set we keep on going every weekend and at least twice a week to enjoy...

Dining Experience
The staff was friendly and welcoming as I walked in.
The adobada on the grill immediately caught my eye, so I decided to try the Torta de Adobada.
The torta came with crispy bread, a generous portion of sliced adobada, and all the toppings. Served with lemon and radish on the side, it was packed with flavor.
Other Menu Options
They also offer tacos, quesadillas, and birria, with a focus on quality ingredients.
Prices are on the higher side, but the food quality makes it worth a try.
Ambiance & Convenience
There are two outdoor round tables, making it a potentially dog-friendly spot.
Conveniently located near Costco, Regal Cinema, and 24 Hour Fitness, making it a great pre- or post-errand meal stop.

Read moreWent out of my way to try Tacos El Polano as it was highly recommended. Very disappointed by the prices, services and food portions. Tacos are priced at 3.60, Burritos at 12-13. The taste is not up to par with some of the other taco shops around Chula Vista. Second I was served tacos with significantly less meat and toppings than the person who ordered ahead of me. This is easy to notice as they serve your order right in front of you and I saw how much the previous person got and how little I got. The size of the burrito is about a half the size of burritos you can get anywhere else in SD. Second the service is disappointing, the person taking the order got my order wrong right in front of me and refused to acknowledge that I had ordered something else. Second the lack of service and smaller portion sizes are noticeably due to discrimination as I am not of Spanish speaking descent. During the whole interaction I was very cordial and had no intention of raising a scene. I love and would always prefer to support local businesses but if you want tacos I highly recommend going somewhere else. There's plenty of better...
