I was extremely disappointed with my latest visit to Regal Cinemas. I was in town for the weekend visiting family and wanted to take my niece (and the rest of my family, but mostly my niece.) to see the latest animated Grinch movie. She was really excited, it was all she talked about ALL DAY. We took two cars, because fitting five people in one car can be cramped. I arrived first with my niece and nephew in tow, and decided to pay for everyone as a surprise. We waited in line, and I ordered the tickets. I handed the guy in the booth my credit card, and he handed it back with my receipt, but no tickets. I thought that was weird, but its been a while since I've been to Regal, and thought maybe they had changed the way they do ticketing, and thought nothing more of it until we got to the ticket booth. Meanwhile, my niece was cold, so we waited indoors for my sister and her boyfriend to arrive. Once I saw them park, I went outside to let them know I had already purchased the tickets, so they didn't need to. We bought popcorn and a couple of bottled waters at the concession stand, and proceeded to the ticket booth. The guy at the ticket booth informed us that we did, indeed, need tickets. I explained what happened when I had bought the tickets and he sent me to the empty customer service counter and said that a manager would be with us shortly. A guys walked over to the counter, said he was a manager, and asked what he could do to help us. I explained the situation. He asked if we did anything after purchasing the tickets, and I told him we waited for the rest of our party indoors by the entrance. He then proceeded to look around the entrance for the tickets, then came back and said he didn't see any on the ground. Then he said he was going to check the security footage and went into another room. He came out again, asking to see the time on the receipt, which I showed him. He went back into the other room for a couple of minutes, then came back out and told me he had seen the transaction on the security footage, and that it clearly showed the cashier handing me the ticket stubs, and that he was "sorry I lost them, but he couldn't help." He suggested paying for the tickets again. By this time, I was really getting frustrated. My family was getting restless, and I was starting to realize this guy had no interest in actually helping to resolve this. I informed him that I would dispute the credit card charge, since I don't believe in paying for a service that I didn't recieve, and that I would definitely be writing a review of my experience. In hindsight, I should have asked him to show me the footage, but that didn't cross my mind at that moment. I used to go to this theater a lot as a kid. I have never had a bad experience here before this incident. Tonight, I was basically treated like a criminal who pawned their tickets off to someone else in order to profit off of them, or at least that is the impression this manager gave. I left feeling frustrated and upset that I was treated so poorly, and I will not set...
Read morePrices are great but service here is horrible if you Latino / Hispanic !!!!! Once you buy your ticket hold on to it and don't lose it No Matter What !!!! even if you have your card that you paid with & your "regal rewards card" they will question you till the very end. Sadly my son misplaced 2 out of our 4 tickets while two of us where standing in line to get inside the movie theater and the other 2 made line to get drinks and popcorn in the mix of things they where lost.I had to come out of the theater to get another set of tickets didn't think it was going to be a big deal but boy was I was Wrong!! there was no one in the inside service desk I had to make a line outside and wait to Speak to a manager in the ticket booth when a manager came I explained to her the situation she said she did not know how to scan my "rewards card" to verify my purchase she asked two other people then a white male in his late 30s "another manager"came to scan my debit card and rewards card he verified the number of tickets I had purchased (4) the whole time he had a look on his face like he could care less of my situation. Not once did greet me or acknowledge me in anyway or calm me down he actually made it worst by continuously asking what happened to my tickets to the point where i felt insulted! In the meantime my kids are crying I had to pull them out of the movie theater to show the manager how many of us where there. We where going on and on for more than 5 minutes and I lost it I asked for my money back tickets and food over $ 60.00 I wonder if I would have been treated different if I where white with blond hair blue eyes! This was the worst experience ever!!!! Hispanic Latinos or if you look Hispanic beware of this place they could care less for you here. Our money must not be worth anything in this place !!! Regal please retrain your "management" staff!!! Be courteous to your customers black, while, blue, green or brown we are all paying customers and deserve respect after all that is why...
Read more9/6/25 plans fell through for today, AMC prices were crazy high for the last movie we watched there. So I went to Regals website to see what PG movies were playing, curious about 1 and it requires my exact location to let me see the movie details when I'm already at the Chula Vista locations website. WHY do you want my location to see movie details?? Please review the attached screenshots!! I JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE MOVIE WAS ABOUT???? Also a $2 fee to purchase online???đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
We will find something else to do today.
Also how is the 50 year Jaws movie rated PG??? Just stopped in at 2:30pm 5/14/24, right inside, a shorter balding gentleman asked if we had tickets. I said no we don't I'd like to see what is available. He pointed at a touchscreen and said there you go. I asked how can I order it to only see PG movies, he said that is all it has and he walked away. I didn't see a movie I had seen previously online. I searched around, waited for anyone else to walk up to us, and no-one did. I looked around and no-one seemed to care to offer help. So we will head over to AMC Otay Ranch and I'll bet they can tell me what PG movies they have showing today.
This picture was taken just as we were leaving. Concessions were extremely slow, the 1 customer ahead of us already had his popcorn and drink, yet 6 minutes for him to pay as 4 other employees just seemed to walk around looking at things.
Theater #4 had a drink thrown at the screen prior to the 3pm showing. After I asked a cleanup person he said it's been like that for a few weeks.
Grabbing a refill on the way out I mentioned it to the gal there and she said it won't come off.
I could not stop staring at the huge spot and drips the entire movie, just to the right of center.
$30+ for popcorn, drink, and movie is a bit steep for the cleanliness and quality of...
