Ash Hyde Park — Local services in Cincinnati

Ok so I ride past this store frequently, I just have not ever been able to stop inside the store to browse or purchase. Well today 6/9/23 @ 5:18 pm I was able to stop to view some beautiful clothing items that were displayed in the window. When I walked in the owner or store clerk was engaged in friendly conversation so I thought oh they’re pretty kind nice folks. However as I continued to browse for the next minute or two no one never acknowledged me even as a potential customer the owner continued to carry on with her friendly conversation. I continued to walk around and that’s when one of the customers acknowledged me with a friendly smile (mind blown) cause the owner still hasn’t and it is now like 3 mins in. Although the items were pricey I still thought about purchasing a small item because I felt like she didn’t acknowledge me because I was African American and maybe couldn’t afford the items. I was hoping before I left the store someone would acknowledge me even leaving and nope. I’m not saying not to shop here I just don’t feel it is friendly to diversity!! We have to be better this world because it is fielded with diversity!...

I came in about a weeks ago probably like 10 minutes before the store closed just to take a quick peak a d purchase something and was rushed out by the owner because she said she was on her way to play pickleball. I thought it was very rude and inconsiderate because you have a client in the store who wants to spend money but you'd rather go play pickleball lol. I bet if I was white she would have stayed open. Another thing I don't like is that they only carry small sizes for petite woman, there are real woman out here with real bodies. Gorgeous boutique. Love the clothing. The owner has the sweetest and Cutest Cocker Spaniel I have ever seen. Although I was there browsing with my coworker and a delivery girl came in with a item. I personally didn't feel it was right how rude they were to her. No clue if she was the owner or just a sales woman. But she didn't say hello and seemed nearly disgusted at the site of this delivery woman. I just found that to be very rude. The delivery woman was African American and seeing how my husband is African American as well. I felt for her. She seemed very sweet and helpful.
