Sushi and sashimi lovers, look no further. This is your new go-to place!
First, the restaurant is cute and very clean (clean bathrooms too). There is a dining room as well as a patio area where dogs are allowed. Our server, Alec, brought a bowl of water for our dog and the chef brought her some treats!
Secondly, THE FOOD WAS GREAT!! We had 2 sushi rolls, 2 nigiri pieces, and a TON of sashimi. Every bite was cherished. The fish was actually fresh despite this being a landlocked area and there were selections you cannot find at many places near here (such as tako, hotate, saba, REAL otoro). It was all juicy and melted in your mouth. The chef made our sashimi platter and delivered it to us so he could explain which cut was which, and even added sesame oil with sea salt to enhance the otoro (fatty tuna). Ifykyk. His cuts were precise and it was all plated beautifully.
There is a good selection of imported beer and some sakes. I ordered a Sapporo and the manager came to let me know that they had it, but it wasn't quite cold yet, and offered me a comparable beer and poured it for me. I appreciate she did that instead of just serving me a warm one.
Last of all, as I mentioned, 3 people visited our table throughout or time here to ensure we were happy. That's amazing service if I've ever seen. Thank you all again! Seriously, I have tried so many placed since moving to cincy last year and absolutely nothing compares. Don't bother getting sushi...
Read moreNeko Sushi in Cincinnati is an unmatched gem that turns dining into an unforgettable experience. Warm and inviting, the owner, Kim, takes hospitality to new heights, making you feel more like a guest in her home rather than a mere customer.
The menu is a sushi lover’s paradise. The spicy tuna cocktail, a perfect starter, strikes a delightful balance between heat and freshness. The yellowtail nigiri is a testament to culinary balance and texture. Not to forget, the uni sea urchin is impeccably fresh and full of the ocean’s subtle sweetness. The fatty tuna is a sheer delight, melting in your mouth and leaving a lingering richness behind.
Adding to the lineup is the Salmon Roe Ikura. This dish is an explosion of taste - the fresh, briny pearls of roe burst with flavors of the sea. It is an absolute must-try and a prime example of Neko Sushi’s commitment to delivering authentic and high-quality!

Read moreStopped here on my way back home from out of town. I chose it because of the reviews. We ordered three rolls, soup and salad . Sushi rolls were Jumbo, ceviche and sweet potato. Jumbo was decent , we loved the sweet potato and the ceviche had a bad seafood taste. We both tried one piece and were done. I told the waitress everything was great but we didn’t enjoy the ceviche. We got the bill and it was still on there. When I asked her to take it off she came back and told me there’s a no refund policy. I wouldn’t usually ask but fresh seafood isn’t super fishy tasting like it’s not fresh. It tasted like shrimp just thawed and put on top. I’m disappointed. Waitress was kind but the manager or who ever was in charge; not pleased with. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but without trying to satisfy the customer like with another roll or fix bill, I am. Not a good...
