Just noticed this place still appears to be operating.

Some time ago, I needed to get a watch repaired and found this business. After emailing and calling, I agreed to come in at a certain day and time. When I got there, the man I had spoken to was waiting on another customer, which was fine. I identified myself and he did not seem to recall that he had told me to come in that day. He called out to another man who came out from the back of the shop.

This other man had a look on his face as if he had just been locked in a closet with a skunk. I said hello to him. Without saying anything to me the whole time, he gave me a dirty look, took the watch and just stared at it for about 5 seconds, put it down, gave me another dirty look and walked away. As he went into the back, he said to the other guy something like "you handle it."

I struck around for a minute or two looking at their merchandise and expecting the guy I made the appointment with (and who told me specifically when to come in) to say, I don't know, anything. However, there was nothing. So, I walked out.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I'm not sure how they can have the positive reviews they have, although they do sound like the "friends and family" type of comments.

I just recently purchased my fiances engagement ring from Mt Washington Jewelers and I had an amazing experience. After visiting multiple Jewelry shops and feeling like a second class citizen for not having the budget to spend $4000 dollars on a ring, I stumbled into Mt Washington Jewelers. Some people do not appreciate the environment of a family run business, but as soon as I walked in the door I felt like an appreciated customer rather than another commission sale. As a twenty-three year old guy I did not know much about rings and diamonds, and when the staff recognized this they didn't treat me like a child, but as a respected adult that they were happy to help. They didn't help me pick out a ring that would make them the most money, they helped me pick out a ring that my fiance would love at the price that I could afford. To sum my experience up in one more sentence; Mt Washington Jewelers is the ONLY place I will recommend shopping because they will help you select exactly what you are looking for while treating you...

I can not say enough about these kind people! They have been in Mt. Washington forever it seems. The older gentleman in here used to fix my grandfather's old time watch! They also made me a fine piece of jewelry from a cheap necklace I loved from Claire's Boutique. I wanted the necklace forever I loved it but it started to fall apart so I took it in there and they replicated it perfectly for such a decent price! I gave it to my 16 year old daughter now and she loves it, nice famiy hierloom thanks to these awesome family jewelers! Hey go in with a piece you have zero clue about they will shine it up for free and tell you all they can about it! Any jewelry, precious stones, estate stuff even silverware, these guys are incredible!!!!! Very kind, customer service is beautiful & unique, I love the family atmosphere! Great place to go!!! 😃...
