Rae's Market — Local services in Cincinnati

NOTE: Rae’s Market doesn’t deserve ONE star. I had to give this place that star so that I could post this review.

Today’s experience (which, by the way, was my FIRST time in there) was trash. Hubby & I walk in (I was on the phone, he wasn’t; he was shopping) and there was an employee in the back of the store stocking the cases. Not ONCE did the woman speak to us or acknowledge us, didn’t offer to assist us with anything, NOTHING. What I did hear is her constant sighing. It was off-putting. She literally deep sighed when she approached us at the counter! I told my husband while she was ringing him out “I have yet to hear her voice. She didn’t speak so we’re not buying any of this” and walked out. If you don’t want to work, I dare you to cut off the lights & cases and go on home, because I’m not the reason you’re doing all that deep sighing & eye rolling lady! What you will not do is give hostility and an attitude and expect me to give you my hard-earned money! The full nerve of you to expect people to bring you a dime and this is how you treat them! Disgusting.

I’ve heard lots of stories about the market, but it’s clear that that was the old way they did business. Nothing’s fresh; everything is frozen and/or processed, and the customer service is nonexistent. Rae’s Market should be called Rae’s Frozen Shack so all expectations can be as low...

Stumbled upon this place recently and shopped there today. A little difficult to find as I passed by it initially, but it is clean and organized. I have yet to try the food that I purchased, but Gina was very friendly and helpful. If I had a little more space I would try out their package/bundle deals, but I just got bags of chicken rings, fries, roasted wings and QC hot dogs. Customer service is always top-notch, every time I shop at Rae’s Market. They offer and wide variety of products at very affordable prices. It’s more of bulk products for wholesale prices to the public. The Combo Promotions they run are always a good way to save even more money and fill your freezers and fridge. I especially love the deals they have on local products like Grippos and Queen City Sausages. It’s been one of my favorite stores for over 30 years. A true Hidden Gem...
