Cory’s Cards and Games is easily the best local shop around not just for the huge selection of cards and games, but for the kind of person Cory is. When I first got into Magic: The Gathering back in covid, Cory was the one who helped guide me on my journey. He took the time to explain things, helped me build my first deck, and never once made me feel out of place or overwhelmed. He’s always there to listen, whether you're a seasoned player or brand new. That kind of patience and personal care is something you don’t find at most stores. What really makes this place stand out is that Cory runs his business with integrity! Everything is priced fairly and reasonably, even the high-demand stuff. He’ll order specific cards you’re looking for, just to help you finish a deck or collection. He’s always willing to help with deck building, brainstorming Commanders, or giving honest advice. And more than anything, he treats customers like people not transactions. That’s something I value the most. Cory even goes beyond just running a business. He shares moments of his life with the community. Whether it's personal stories, life milestones, or just chatting with regulars, he’s real, down-to-earth, and always approachable. That connection makes visiting the shop feel like hanging out with a friend, not just shopping. Events are well-run, the players are welcoming, and the space has a vibe of fun, fairness, and respect because that’s what Cory built over the years. It may be small but if you want more than just a store. if you want a community, fair prices, honest help, and someone who genuinely cares; Cory’s Cards and Games is the place to be.🫶🏼

My fiancé and I were on the hunt for stores selling YuGiOh cards, and we stumbled upon this lovely little store. Their case of YuGiOh singles isn't very big, but they host tournaments for the card game on two days. Thursdays are a little crowded due to two separate tcg tournaments taking place, but the atmosphere and the owner are very welcoming! I have yet to visit the store during the Saturday tournament, but I'll update my review accordingly. Ps. The owner's Frenchie dog is worth taking a trip to the store in and of itself!

this is the only place to go for all your MTG needs as well as many other similar games an collectables. Corey is a great guy an knows his stuff, he is always willing to answer any questions you may have. he shares a passion for the products an games he sells many nights you'll find him sitting at the tables playing right along with many of his more regular patrons laughing an joking along you could easily mistake him for just another player there trying out their new mtg deck build an having fun with good friends. Cory also buys cards as well an from my experience his shop is by far the best place to sell mtg cards, he always has the fairest offers an wont try to get one over on you ever. he is a kind an honest shop owner an really just wants to share his passion with as many as he can. If you do plan to sell cards here I would suggest selling to Corey directly as his other Mainstay employee has at times tends to be a little less fair an honest about his offers an rarely takes time to make sure the customer isn't being taken advantage of due to them simply being ignorant of card values an how card shops work. bottom line is when it comes to card shops ill take Cory's card shop over any big name shop like, A1 Comics an others like them, ANY & EVERYTIME without a second thought. ive been a customer here since Cory's opened his shop an have loved it ever since. Not to mention that the location holds a special place in my heart as the card shop that was there many years prior to Cory's opening, was actually where my love hate relationship with Magic the Gathering all began back in February of 1998 id just turned 9 an with my birthday money i purchased my first ever booster pack of MTG. the set was stronghold an rightfully so it seem because MTG has had a strong hold over...

The reviews aren't wrong. I was in the Sacramento area to see my daughter. She knew I was wanting to sell some cards and her friend suggested I go to Corey's because "the have never done me wrong." When I got there I was greeted by Corey himself who immediately stopped what he had been in the middle of to come assist me.

I told him I had a few cards I was wanting to sell. I told them what they were but unfortunately they were in the middle of a few big buys and couldn't buy them. However, Corey made sure to give me tips on how to get the best price for them online, what to look out for at other stores, the best apps for the most accurate real time pricing, and even some suggestions on how to post them and ship them.

I have been to several gaming and comic book stores with my at the time husband and I have never seen one provide as exceptional service as I received at Corey's. I have heard nothing but great things about his wife who also works there.

I had tried to sell my cards in San Francisco and was offered about 20% of their market value. They are in good shape too. Corey's pays 60% cash! That is unheard of. Hands down one of the nicest people I have ever met, more than willing to share his time and knowledge, which he had a lot of. His passion for what he does is evident and his customer service is...
