If you move here from another area, and you want to get involved in the art community, they treat you like an outsider. My husband and I have tried numerous times to connect with them, and they ignore our messages. My husband even showed up in person last Summer to inquire about the organization and how they could help him, and they blew him off, stating that they were not aware of any programs to assist a disabled artist. However, when we called the NYS arts council, we were informed that they should have guided us to a grant program through the state.
