The Venue — Attraction in City of Cohoes

As a Wedding Entertainer, I get to work in some of the best (and some of the worst) venues in upstate NY.

The Venue recently underwent a change in management which will no doubt be a positive both for the new and former owners.

Located in a reclaimed Catholic church in the heart of Cohoes, the previous owners poured money, sweat, blood and tears into restoring this beautiful location, and their pride of ownership was evident throughout. I wish them the very best as they continue their story elsewhere.

The new owner has a history in this area as well, and I have no doubt that changes and upgrades will continue to be the rule of the day!

Don't let the neighborhood fool you... Some of my most beautiful Celebrations of Love have been held at the Venue!

This is a review of the event space "The Venue" and not the performance therein.

Parking is very limited except for the parking lot operated by the Venue. On the night we visited, I estimate that the audience was between 10-20% of the maximum capacity. As such, there was plenty of parking in the lot.

Inside, The Venue is quite nice and many of the original architecture and adornments have been maintained. We were there to hear a musical performance. Perhaps because the performers were not located in an ideal place, the acoustics were very bad which detracted from the string quartet playing songs by...

My daughter was married there June 20th of this year. Everything was amazing!! Ariel was very friendly and accommodating, and Ashley made sure everything went off perfectly. The rehearsal with rehearsal dinner, getting ready the day of for both the Bridesmaids and the groomsmen, to the ceremony, the cocktail hour with yummy appetizers downstairs at the speakeasy, to the reception with delicious food. There is also an outside area to get fresh air to sit and to take beautiful pictures. I would definitely recommend...
