The butcher's department at CP is the best in town. They tend to have better offerings than the big box stores they price competitively, and the people at the counter are knowledgeable and helpful. The butcher's department alone is worth checking out.

The rest of the store is a sort of hybrid grocery and wholesaler. Prices here are all over the place, sometimes cheaper than the grocery chains and sometimes more expensive, but they offer a lot of unique products that are typically only available via restaurant wholesalers. Anyone can walk in and buy these, which is nice.

I don't do my main grocery shopping here, but I like to look around and occasionally buy specialty products that are otherwise hard to find. They carry a lot of bulk items so they'd be worth consideration for somebody hosting a large party or event, and if there's some random ingredient that you're not finding anywhere else in town, they're worth a check to see if they have it.

Great store. Associates are super nice and helpful. Best meat around especially the steaks and sausage. I like to try new things and the staff share some awesome cooking and grilling techniques. You won't get this personable treatment at Walmart or any other giant corporate grocer. They make the best house made baked beans in town. Nice selection of frozen seafood including shrimp, clams, lobster tails, scallops and king crab legs. Good bread selection including Heidelburg bread.
