I give a ride to someone who goes to this place at the end of the month when their SNAP benefits are fine and they still have a week or so before they get their next month's benefits. CCRM will provide people such as this person a small amount of food (depending on your household's size from what I see some people walking out of there with in their large boxes) and it's sad that there is one particular employee-or volunteer, I'm not sure-who seems to enjoy making this trip as difficult and demeaning as possible for the people needing these services. She will harass people as to what she "thinks" she knows about you, the last date you were there for this service, how many are in your household regardless of what info you put down on the application form and any other possible way she can make this whole experience one of the hardware a person must endure in this time of rising food costs. Almost as if she is trying to get a rise out of you so that you are banned from participating in this much-needed service. The person I am helping with a ride isn't selling their SNAP benefits so that they can't make it a full month on what they are allowed to received. They aren't living like royalty and eating prime rib and lobster each night. And more importantly, they don't want to need to ask for this help only to be made to jump through hoops that aren't even necessary. This woman does this to almost every person I see going in CCRM for this assistance and it takes a lot to keep my mouth shut as I sit and watch this woman's behavior. If this woman has become so jaded by the scammers and the crooks then she should find a new line of work. Not everyone is playing a role to get undeserved benefits and they shouldn't be treated as if they are. What did is being given out isn't coming off of this woman's table. I'm sure her paycheck didn't go towards CCRM getting these food items that they give out each month. Next week I have to take this person back to CCRM, and though he tried to put off going as long as he can, it will come down to our making that trip over there and he will go through the same ritual as he goes through every month, by the same woman. Each month he hopes he will be able to work with one of the other workers there because the rest of those employees are great. I think it's just sad that a facility such as this is allowing one person to make going there one of the hardest trips anyone has to make...
