I bought a bedroom set and a livingroom set from this store. I had the money to pay for everything up front and paid it off in a week. The salesperson, Vanessa, sold me everything and told me that if I paid for it all at once I would have a $75 delivery fee.
We had to wait 3 days for delivery, so we were basically in an empty house sleeping on the floor and using a camping chair and a cooler for chairs. Delivery day came and they were scheduled to arrive between 11-3 (morning delivery). At 4:05 I called, because they had not arrived. The Asst. Mgr., Brad, answered the phone and kept calling me "dear" and tried to blame the salesperson. At 6:05 I called again, because they STILL weren't here! Again I spoke to Brad and he continued to speak to me in familiar terms.
When they finally arrived (6:30), the couch wouldn't fit through the doors. The delivery guys tried all 3 doors to try to get it in the house, but the couch was just too big. They left the recliner so we would both have a chair until we could get other furniture here.
I went back to the store the next day and ordered a different set for the living room and mentioned that the bed was much higher than it looked in the showroom. I was told that the mattress I purchased was thicker than the one on the bed there.
New furniture was ordered and we had to wait 4 days for it to arrive. When it got here, the couch was right, but they loaded the wrong love seat on the truck. The delivery driver showed up with the Asst. Mgr., whom I had specifically stated I wanted nothing to do with because of the way he spoke to me on the phone. Again, Brad tried to blame everyone but himself for the screw up. They went back to the store, got the right love seat, delivered everything and left.
A few days later, with no attempt made to fix the bed, my fiancee rolled over in his sleep and fell more than 3' to the floor, injuring his elbow. I went into the store to finish paying and complain again about the height of the bed and Brad being at my house. I told the GM, Jenn, that he blamed her and the salesperson for the love seat being wrong on delivery day. He promptly came out of his office and told me that he never said any such thing. Jenn scheduled us for a service call for 2 days out to fix the height of the bed by removing the box spring and replacing it with a platform base that the mattress would sit on directly.
Today the delivery guys came again and tried to swap out the slats that are under the box springs for a metal frame that resembles a roll away cot frame. That frame wouldn't fit, so they called the store. The salesperson that we purchased from, Vanessa, was on the phone and accused them of not even trying to fix the problem. She spoke to me and asked me if I actually watched them swap it out and personally observed that it didn't fit in the frame of the headboard, footboard and side rails. When I told her that it didn't fit she tried to tell me that it was the same bed that was on the showroom floor. I told her that the bed was at least 6"-8" higher than the one at the store. She argued with me on the phone and told me that she pulled the bed I tried off the showroom floor. I asked her how that was possible, since the same bed is still on display to which she replied that she personally took it down and put it out for delivery. I was told that the GM will not be in until Monday.
Rest assured I will be there on Monday morning to let them know how I feel about everyone in the store! The only people that I haven't had a problem with are the 2...
Read moreMy experience was with 2 employees on January 25th 2019.. they were blocking my driveway so I could not get in.. now my driveway is an incline and very icy so I got stuck.. so the truck then sees this and still drives right towards me when I had no place to go.. as they were doing this they were shouting " you have to move moron." Then continued to call me names. Finally I reversed into a driveway so they could get through, when I did this I exited my vehicle and I did throw my arms up at them as to say "hey I couldn't get anywhere why would you be doing this. Then as they drove up to where I finally parked they stopped and the driver opened his door and asked if I had a problem I told him yes.. he and then his passenger both proceeded to try to get out of the truck and my girlfriend got in between him and the arrons employees.. if my girlfriend was not there I have no doubt that both of those employees would have gotten out of their truck and from there it would have been very bad. They finally leave. I call and talked to a so called general manager and she hung up on me and I guess one of the guys in a truck was an assistant manager.. this management team and employees at this arrons is horrible.. mind you I am not even a customer so they had no reason at all to stop their truck and basically wanted to fight.. this is my very first experience with this place.. the general manager hung up on me.. an assistant manager and an employee were trying to start a fight over nothing.. yes I was upset and got out and threw my arms up but I did not say one thing to them. In August 2023 I ordered a gas range online and everything was approved and I was told my purchase would be delivered to the store in Elmira and someone would contact me to deliver it and set up payments. Great. Two weeks go by and there is no call or relevant email updating me. Four weeks go by and I get an email telling me my premium is due! I call them to find out my gas range never came in. No one bothered to inform me. I tell them to tell billing I'm not paying for something I never got. We are now into September. I think piss poor communication on their part. I order another gas range. The young man says he will call me when it comes in and set up delivery and payment plan. September slips by. Again, no phone call or relevant email; just their stupid ads. We are now up to September 30th and I do get another email telling me my premium will be due on October 1st. There are no words that I can express without getting kicked off this site.
