Elmira Plaza — Local services in City of Elmira

This plaza and the surrounding area tends to be somewhat "rundown" from my observations and speaking to others on there knowledge of the plaza and the surrounding area.

The plaza itself contains a Big Lots, Dollar General and a Rent-A-Center. This review and rating reflects on the plaza itself as well as my general experiences with the businesses contained within the plaza. For specific information on each store; see there respective reviews.

This plaza offers some variety in shopping choices; though not a large variety. As some of the businesses have relatively overlapping product lines or types of products. From my understanding most people (myself included) tend to come to this plaza for a specific shopping reason.

My experiences with the plaza have been essentially "Ok". On various visits I've been able to locate the item I'm looking for. On other visits I have not been able to do so. As such the sum of positive vs negative experiences is relatively equal.

Big Lots is a fantastic store that always surprises me with its wide variety of products at unbeatable prices! Whether I’m looking for home decor, furniture, groceries, or seasonal items, Big Lots has it all. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what I need, and the deals are incredible. 1st, this is a plaza..at best, NOT a shopping mall. It has big lots, Dollar General, as well as a Rent-A-Center... that's it... oh, and across the street is a bar that opens at 8am filled with drunks that hand their food stamp cards over to the owner in lue of drinks as well as coke and heroin (depending what bartender is working). This place needs a cleaning from top to bottom as well as the surrounding area,.. including the Quick-E-Mart on the corner that sells loosie cigs and blunts...
