We went to pick out a new mattress and living room set last week. We decided on a mattress but couldn’t agree on the living room set so we paid for and set up delivery for just the mattress. We told him that we were going to look at some other places for the living room set and if we couldn’t find anything we told him we would call to add on the set that we saw there. He said that was fine and that our delivery was all set. He wrote on our receipt that the mattress alone would be delivered on Wednesday 3/21/18 between 10am and 2pm. Removal of our old mattress was even on the receipt. We thanked them and then went to Livingston’s and found a living room set that was more for us. So today is Wednesday 3/21 and at 1:54 our mattress still wasn’t delivered. I called asking about it and the man that put in the order told me that we never set up a delivery (even though it’s on our receipt). I argued saying that it was on my receipt and that I had it. He said he must have wrote it on my receipt and not put it in the computer. Then blamed us for not calling to tell him if we were adding on the living room set. We said we would call IF we wanted to add it. That doesn’t mean don’t deliver the mattress that we paid for and set up delivery on. He then told me he could try to deliver it tomorrow. So I wasted my only day off waiting for over 4 hours for a delivery that didn’t come until 3:30. This was only after arguing that I had already stripped down my bed and put it downstairs, out on the porch and had nothing to sleep on. Some prices are decent but their sense of accountability when they make a mistake is pathetic and apparently so is their organization skills. Read moreWe purchased a mattress from Bare Bones a while ago, I couldn't remember when and didn't have the receipt anymore. The mattress we purchased from them was actually 2 extra long twins to make up our king size bed (we were concerned a full king mattress wouldn't fit up the stairway). One side was sagging very badly. I called Bare Bones on a Saturday and told them what was happening and that I didn't know exactly when we purchased the mattress or if there was any warranty on it. She kindly looked up our account and found that we purchased it in 2011. She asked me to take pictures and email to them, which I did. I was told that someone would call me on Monday. True to their word, someone called me on Monday... Lyle. He was very understanding and offered us a generous amount of credit to replace the mattress. He also said that they were replacing both sides and not just the sagging xl twin. He asked that we come in when he was there, which we did on Wednesday. He was extremely helpful in helping us pick out a new mattress. When we sat down to do the paperwork (and, of course, I upgraded to a better mattress so we owed them a bit more than the credit) he let us know that they were also replacing the box spring which I never thought of replacing. When I looked at our old paperwork copy I realized he gave us FULL PRICE CREDIT towards the new mattress. Holy cow! We were very pleased. It continued with the delivery service. My husband was home when the 'guys' came to deliver it. He was very impressed with both of them. Very efficient and in-and-out quickly. They actually fit a full king size mattress up the stairs (thanks guys). This place has excellent service! Ask for Lyle and tell him Patty Wax (VanDyke) sent you. Read moreWe ordered a whole bedroom set here in June, we just received the bed frame a week ago (November). They brought it in new in a box and assembled it but the paint was already chipping off of it, there's dents in the wood they just painted over. They broke the drawers. They left a huge Styrofoam mess in my bedroom and multiple screws on my floor for my 1 year old to find. I had to wait on 2 deliveries because they brought the wrong stuff the first time. They just left all of the wrong stuff qt my house for the next guys to pick up so my bedroom was off limits for hours considering I have toddlers I didn't need to be squashed by furniture boxes leaning everywhere. We received the dressers in July but one of them was damaged and they had to exchange that. We called the store and asked them to take the frame down and bring us back just the box springs. They agreed but didn't bring us the same box springs we had before, very disappointed with there lack of customer service. When we called Amanda tried to tell us we would just have to leave a message because she apparently can't find 1 out of 3 managers the store has. I have always bought mattresses here but I would never buy furniture here again now that I see what poor quality junk...
