Nine months prior with multiple in person meetings and a dozen confirmations back and forth abundantly confirmed every detail for when nearly 40 guests would arrive to celebrate a rehearsal dinner for my brother in law's wedding.
Arrive on the day and the entire inside of the restaurant was nicely set and decorated, but for another party, not ours! Outside is where the venue decided to put us. They put up plastic curtains and space heaters all around the porch with tables split on either side of the restaurant's main entrance way for all the thru traffic of the restaurant to pass straight through our group all night. This is where the venue decided to put us while double booking their space trying to make an extra buck, they put our group outside in this thrown together joke so they could get paid for two large events in the same night and get away with it, and sadly they did.
The details of the booking were discussed at length multiple times down to the layout of the room we communicated and reserved, INSIDE. It was a cold evening with elderly guests, one of which is over 90 years old with cancer, outside for the evening.
In shock, we demanded to speak with the contact person whom we worked with, Joleen. She was hiding and refused to come out and address us, so instead we met the self identified owner, Rebecca. Rebecca showed absolutely zero remorse, zero sympathy, but a whole lot of passive aggressive attitude. When we, Groom, father of the groom, myself, and one or two other immediate family members, confronted her demanding some answers, she kept throwing out simple phrases and answers such as, "people really like the patio area".
At no point did anyone apologize, only kept avoiding confrontation and advising us to "just enjoy the evening". Many more attempts to get any type of answer as to what she, the owner, would like to offer us to help compensate for this major mess up led to nowhere. I could now tell her angle, eventually we would have to just give up and enjoy the evening because we literally had no other option, and she knew it too.
After arguing on and off all night, after everyone finally left at the end, the venue decided to offer some compensation in the form of a free champagne toast, which was served at dinner, and two one hundred dollar gift cards back to their restaurant. Yup, thousands of dollars, several months planning, and one sour memory forever stamped on their wedding weekend. thanks for the gift cards.
I can never recommend this place to anyone after how we were treated, by the owner no less. Think twice before working with this restaurant, there are plenty of other places to go to even consider...

The food, in our opinion, was UH-MAZINGLY Delicious!!
The location is right in Downtown Glens Falls. We recommend that you make a reservation as they become extremely busy and fast.
We walked in and greeted with a friendly staff member and with a smile. Upon being seated, our waitress (Sue) greeted us almost immediately. As she was taking our appetizer order, there was some light fun conversation & she made reference to herself as being, "Aunt Susie" (this is going somewhere, I promise).
Anyway, for starters, my husband ordered the: Charleston She Crab 🦀 Soup. It was REEEEALLY GOOD, Tasty & Savory. Oh & let me not forget the Crab Fondue 😱. Not the kind of cheesy fondue you would think of but it does have the cheese & a whole lot of crab 🦀 meat (which we love). This was served with vegetables & small sliced up toasted bread. Sooo goood!!
For the entrees: I got the Coconut Pineapple 🍍 Shrimp 🍤 Supper with the Candied Garlic Braised Spare Ribs (so tender). My dinner is the one pictured on this review. The presentation of this dish was beautiful & picture worthy. The flavors of this entree: OMG! 😱 They were to die for. My whole entire dinner was pleasingly, DELICIOUS & Filling
My husband ordered: Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop (unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of his because I was too busy stuffing my face... LOL 😂). This was not your ordinary size pork chop (quite big 😱). He loooved the way it tasted & he enjoyed the sweet potato frites.
Our waitress comes back to us & asked us: How was everything? We told her that EVERYTHING was sooo Delicious & Good & UH-MAZIN!! And then we both at the same time said: "Thank You, Aunt Susie"! That made her smile more. During our time there, she was just on point & checking on us to see if we were still good or needed anything else & just being sooo attentive towards us.
So, the next time you're up in Glens Falls, stop in and enjoy some AWESOME & DELICIOUS FOOD. You'll LOVE IT!!
And be sure to ask for "Aunt...
Read moreEnjoyed an early Friday dinner. Excellent service and creative food. We opted for four appetizers and a dessert to sample the offerings. The signature crab soup was delicious. A nicely balanced bisque with delicate Maine crabmeat. The Moroccan cigars were wonderful. The meat fillings and pastry shells were perfect and the harissa sauce worked well with the fillings we would definitely order again. The shrimp and octopus was flavorful . Octopus was tender (no small acheivement). Unfortunately, our serving was over salted. The tomato, boursin, arugula and candied almond salad with balsamic dressing worked very well. Textures and flavored contrasted perfectly. The bread pudding with maple, cinnamon and whipped cream was heavenly. Gigantic portion. Glad we shared!
The service was impeccable. We were happy to be seated outside. Sarah and her colleagues were good hunored about making the long walk back and forth to the heated tent (the porch was booked by a wedding party). They explained options and described dishes patiently. Warm and professional.
Caution: At about 7 PM, noise levels in the tent went way up from an event in the park across the street. Rock music and an over-the -top host. Conversation became impossible. We were almost done, but I advise checking on events when booking on the...
