Did you grow up without a set of overbearing, nosy, condescending parents? Well look no further! 600 River Road is here to fill that void!! The owner (and his sister in law) wander around constantly, just looking for things to nitpick and complain about. The sister in law has been seen screaming like an absolute banshee, oftentimes at rent paying residents! And this is right out in the light of day, the middle of the parking lot, for all to see. When she's not stomping around, bellowing on speaker phone, she's peering out of her window, looking for things she can call and tattle about. Really fun gal.
The owner himself, must have missed his childhood dream of being a big, bad police man, so he cosplays around the grounds, claiming he's constantly about to be sued. And, the funniest part is! He very well may be. The place is falling apart, and not one single person cares about it. This is what happens when a building company decides to try to run a complex. These two worlds do not mix. The maintenance crew, when they're not busy planting fake plastic plants in the ground as "landscaping," they're over working on the new builds, because, in reality, that is what they were hired to do. Therefore, they're completely unavailable to do proper, preventative maintenance on property. (I'm looking at you, 3 years past due dryer vent cleaning!) let alone things that need care on a rotating basis, ie - lawn care, broken communal printers, movie theaters, destroyed patio separators, and the like. You can call 8, 9, 10 times, before things are fixed, and sometimes, still ignored, you just leave it, because you've got better things to do with your time. But just know! This doesn't stop them from raising rent! Get in while the getting is good, cause this place is gonna be a shanty town in about 2 years. Edited to add, I wonder how much they're paying for these new AMAZING...
Read moreThey failed to mention the fact that my apartment would shake every time my neighbor above me walked, and every time a neighbor shut their door. They failed to mention the fact that a train sounds its horn multiple times a night. Every. Single. Night. 11pm, 1am, 4am, 6am. My windows stay closed- the same windows with a draft that they have yet to fix since the dead of winter. And it's no fun having to walk a mile to take out my trash in the winter because there are no bins remotely close to the building.
They also failed to mention that the entire complex is surrounded by Sand Flies 90 percent of the summer. I open my window and they’re stuck on my screen. I open my balcony door and there’s dead flies in the rail. Most days I can’t even go out onto my balcony. Upon leaving the parking lot that reeks of cigarettes, they’re all over my truck. Returning from work at night, every door to the building is completely covered in them. It's disgusting.
Every finish is cheap. The plastic toilet seat wobbles, the lights flicker, and cabinet doors are crooked and are falling off of the hinges. Half the sprinklers in the hallways are not even secured properly to the wall. This building is so badly constructed I can hear my neighbor’s washer and dryer running.
So many neighbors have complained about the same issues, but they’re too busy charging thousands while puposefully understaffing, and calling this poorly constructed new build “luxury living”.
You have the gall to state you're "here to help", when you don't even respond to anything in the resident portal. Additionally, there's only one person working in the office for all three buildings. That person has no authority to do anything, so I have to wait five business days for her manager to get back to me. Even then,...
Read moreSince moving in my apartment in September, I was very skeptical about moving from a home to an apartment. I have been pleased beyond belief. The apartment is super quiet, the neighbors are all very nice, the grounds are maintained (which is a huge bonus of apartment living), and the sunsets are surreal. No matter if raining or snowing or sunny, looking out over the Niagara River is so calming and peaceful. Even in the winter, I sit on my porch and drink coffee to the sound of the waves and the seagulls flying by. My dog loves walking the grounds and it is comforting to know that pets are welcomed as so many places I looked at did not allow pets. Cannot wait to spend a full summer by the pool, playing pickleball and sharpening up my putting at the small practice greens. Oh.. and there's a small park just a few steps away for a longer dog walk. Not only that, it's a quick hop to Tops, Wegmans, Downtown NT and a breeze to get on the Thruway. Lastly, I was able to reserve the Club House to host a few Buffalo Bills Football Parties. It was fantastic to host friends in the movie theatre to watch the game. Almost like being there! CANNOT...
