We had some damage to our awning from falling ice. Recreational Warehouse in North Tonawanda, NY quoted us an estimate that included removing the awning, replacing the sides of the awning hood, and reinstalling the awning. Their estimate was slightly more than $1100. In actuality, they never had to remove the awning, nor reinstall it as they were able to do the job without removing the awning. The whole repair took just under an hour. When I asked about readjusting our bill, they said that they would not do that because they could have had to remove and reinstall the awing, and that's what they based the estimate on. So, I still had to pay the $400 charge for removing the awning and the additional $400 charge to reinstall it, even though neither was done. Outrageous! When I notified the insurance company, they said that without video proof of what they did or didn't do, it would just be my word against theirs. I would have not received a cent of any reduction in the bill as I have a $1000 deductible. It's the insurance company that is out the money. So, if you are having any work done by Recreational Warehouse, be sure to videotape the entire job. This was not very...
Read moreI bought my kayak pool liner from here. I had my pool guy come to install it and it won’t even stay on the edging. Clearly this liner wasn’t make for a kayak pool. I understand it’s a after market but it should still fit properly. So I call auto see l if they would give me money back. When I called a women answered I told her my situation and she transferred me to a sale rep. Then told him my problem he transferred me to a manger who was completely rude me. He said there is no way that the pool liner wouldn’t and that my pool guy doesn’t know how to install pool liners correctly. I said to the manager would you like to talk to my pool guy. Well the manager was as rude to him and he was me. My pool guy who by the way only installs kayak pool liners knows how to install them. Instead of passing the buck onto someone else this company needs to stand behind the product they sell and help there customers out not just say sorry we can’t return your money or even offer me a different pool liner. I will for sure never go there again to get anything. KAYAK POOL BUYERS BEWARE. Spend the money and go get the kayak pool liner from...
Read moreIf you want thieves checking out your house while delivering your items, then this is the place for you! I have video evidence of one of their vans being used to steal my son's motorcycle in June. Don't let these people anywhere near your house. Edited to add: I did contact customer support on July 2. There was no response. The police didn't show up there because my son moved out of state that day. Around here, the cops don't do anything except tell a victim to go the warrant division at the police department and file an official report. That division is only open 2 days a week in the morning. Since my son was long gone by then, he didn't go. It's enough that it's been reported. It is NOT my problem that Recreational Warehouse didn't remove the company logo before they handed their vehicle off to a dealer, nor is it my fault that the dealer was allowed to sell the van with the logo intact. If you don't want to be implicated in a crime, make sure that there is no blatant or circumstantial evidence...
