I do recommend this place and will most likely patron it further as there is limited selection for these items today. My wife and I love 20s-40s houses and have owned a few as we’ve moved through the years. ReHouse is usually our go to stop to purchase odds and ends, particularly light fixtures. We’ve purchased 3 absolutely beautiful chandeliers here and they’ve come with us to each house we own. If you have 1” hardwoods or gumwood trim and may need to replace them - this is your place to go.
Recently I feel the pricing needs a bit of work. Well maintained display pieces are one thing, those command a hefty price - but when I recently purchased two door handle plates and one glass door knob for close to $100 - that’s a bit much. I returned the items and purchased ones of similar or better condition on eBay for literally half the price. I’d like to support a local business but I do not like throwing money away. If I wanted to spend top dollar I’d just buy repros on house of...
Read moreThis place is amazing. We spent a couple of hours walking around and getting ideas. We love the concept of recycling, reusing and celebrating history, Re-House embraces this wholly and beautifully. The store space is meticulously organized and displayed. My boyfriend owns his own business restoring and moving historical barns, he was incredibly impressed with the inventory and organization. The staff was ever present and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. My only request to the public is, if you're bringing young children in, please have them respect the items they can reach and touch. Watching two kids between 7 and 10 years of age beat on the piano while the parent dismissively walked around was frustrating. Perfect opportunity to teach our young ones the value of items we can reuse...
Read moreTerrible experience. I bought a $250.00 chandelier and the employee there removed the bulbs from the light and said that it would cost me $5.00 each for the bulbs although they were in the light when I bought it. The tag did not state that the bulbs were not included. They also cut the plug and wire from the chandelier so I could not plug it in and left me with one foot of wiring. I plan on reporting my experience on all social media platforms and telling all my friends. What kind of customer service is this ? None at all. They stripped the chandelier down to nothing and sold it to me. Did I mention that they removed the glass globes as well and tried to charge me extra for them? DO NOT BUY...
