Every time I go to this location here in Yonkers on Linden Street, they are always ripping you off the prices that they have on the shelves are not the prices that you get when you go to the register. You have to watch every item carefully with this location. The cashiers are snotty. No one has a name tag so you can't identify who they are if you have a complaint.I just now went there for refunds and the lady at customer service spoke English fine but when I asked for the number to corporate she walked away from me. I had to call her back then she acted like she couldn't speak English or understand me,but she was just talking to me perfectly fine in English. I asked for the store manager she said the store manager wasn't there, little did she know when I walked in I walked right past him but I was going to customer service first. She then proceeds to jump on her cell phone and call the manager while I was standing there and spoke in Spanish so I couldn't understand what she was saying to him I just chose to leave and I will get the number to corporate offline. You shouldn't have to go through so much when they're supposed to provide the number to you when you ask for it ,but that's how they operate at that store. Buyer beware I will not go there unless I absolutely have to. I will be walking to Shoprite from now on, they are to shady for me and not diverse enough for me I need a store that caters to me as well and no offense to anyone. I feel if you can't understand me or want to, you can't help me. I'll spend my money somewhere where my...
Read moreThis Foodtown is a supermarket to go to if you live close by and you need only a few things. It's not a big store and could be cleaner. The neighborhood isn't good and vagrants are always outside asking for money. Update:3/2025 Foodtown remodeled and updated the whole store. It also added a gourmet food section with nice precooked meals you just heat and eat. I don't know if they are brought in or actually prepared by Foodtown but they have a nice selection to choose from. The small deli department has a Boar's Head logo sign showing their meat selection but the meats are not displayed in a front case to look at like other delis have, but on dark open shelves with no doors behind the left of the counter that only the worker can see. I don't know how the meat is kept cold or can stay fresh that way, maybe it's a new technology but I would like to see the meat that I'm choosing a pound or two from. The frozen food department takes up the whole back of the store and that is kept well stocked, and clean. They did a good job revamping the whole store. The cashiers are very polite and they also sell lottery tickets. There's a tall security guard there now that watches seriously for thieves so I feel safe while I'm in the store. Also, they repaved and relined their parking lot. It was bad before but now it's nice and I don't worry about my car getting damaged anymore. It's still Elm and Linden St. though so there are still vagrants around but that's out of their control. Otherwise, it's a big...
Read moreIt used to be my number one place to go, besides ShopRite. But not going to anymore. Lately they've been very lazy and have had expired fruits. And they always giving excuses about using the WIC. Just yesterday they said that we had to get whole fruits and vegetables. But we got whole apples so why couldn't we get it? They didn't have an answer. WIC says fresh, frozen, and/or canned. And one of the packages clearly said "fresh". So no longer going there. Then when you try to prove them wrong, even in a nice way, they get very bitchy and rude. And they've gotten lazy about delivering lately also, had more than half my cans come...
