One word horrible! My experience at the Grand Roosevelt was not a good one when you have guests calling you after your wedding to complain. That is not good . The only good thing about the Roosevelt was the underpaid staff especially the lady in the hijab she was so very helpful and nice wonderful person. We paid for a sit down dinner only two courses salad and a selection of different Meats and fish for the main course. Coming close to the wedding day we had to pay extra for the salad because the owner wanted to present the salad on the side of the main course plate. for months we were telling him that's not what we wanted. We showed him pictures and even bought bowls to place the salads in. The owner wanted to charge us $250 on the day of the wedding to use his saucers because the bowls accidentally went back on the decorators truck. We paid extra to have the salad done the right way in an abundance in the bowls. On the day my guest said the salad was several pieces of lettuce, cucumber and some shredded carrots placed in a 6" saucer witch was disgusting they added a white sauce when we ordered a vinaigrette dressing. We also paid extra for putting things on the plate more food because the owner said the plate would look to empty. The day of the wedding I realize why he suggested that. The meats on the plate was half the size of what we got at the tasting. I got a piece of beef that was 5" by 4" and a quarter inch thick the plate was full of other foodstuffs but I realize then why he was insisting that we added more to the plate. Because they knew that they were going to cut down on the meat and fish He was also insisting that we take the buffet for months matter of fact for years because we booked the grand Roosevelt ballroom after the pandemic. I was told by a friend do not take the buffet because the buffet tasted like it was composed of leftover food from previous events and a combination of fresh food made for her event this is what she said the food tasted like her event was last year. But for years he was only insisting that we take the buffet up to the last week of our wedding The only thing that I liked was the architecture of the grand Roosevelt but the service was horrible!! I would not recommend this establishment especially if you're looking for something elegant. Some of our guests said that they were not served they where over looked. One guest said to us that the owner was like a slumlord taking money and not repairing the property which I had to agree some of the things was run down and needed repair the so-called Bridal Suite was a joke only because we payed our money and we could not get back we stayed at the Grand Roosevelt. If I had the opportunity to do it again I would go somewhere else. The outside of the building was horrible my husband even suggested we bring in someone to pressure wash the front of the building luckily our guests came when it was dark. We bought our own red carpet because the carpet that they were using I noticed was dirty had gum stains and was not suitable for my guess to work on. This was just not a good experience. One thing I regret for my wedding is booking the grand Roosevelt ballroom with the amount of money we ended up spending at this place we should of gone to a high end establishment only thing is many of them are further out that's also one of the reasons we chose the Grand Roosevelt ballroom for it's close proximity but never again. We complained to them and instead of acknowledging the mistakes they just doubled down never again you can only be fooled once they were many other complains to...
Read moreThis place is overall a horrible place to book any type of party. My sister recently had her party here and yea the setting was nice but the service was horrible. First off, when one my aunts asked one of the waitresses if ahe had seen a bag that had gone missing she said in a rude manner " We're not supposed to take or touch anything. Can you just leave im tired and i wanna go home". What in the hell type of way of treating a guest is that. Second of for the amount of money my parents paid you would they would bother to use more than just 1 bottle for the open bar. They seriously only used 1 bottle for every drink that was served that night. The drinks were more water and juice than anything. Besides that the portion of food they served was very little and when i noticed a guest ask if he can have a little more of the pasta the server made an annoyed face. Then for the dessert which was the cake and there supposedly " ice cream bar " one had to go and get it them selves, i understand in some places one has to go and get the food but never have i seen that one had to go and get the dessert as well. There supposedly " ice cream bar " was just one big bowl of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. No toppings or sauces or anything that could go on the ice cream was offered. They gave out one miniscule scoop of ice cream per person. There were also other things that i personally didn't like but i'll just leave it at this. Overall i would not recommend this placefor any...
Read moreThis place is just beautiful. I loved coming here and enjoying everything they had to offer. The staff is so lovely; they made sure everything was done properly. The food is just amazing, and they serve any food you want. The ballroom is just the perfect place to have your event. Reasons why you should have your event here: The manager is so kind, and he will make your event memorable. There is no place like the Grand Roosevelt Ballroom. Unlike other places where they add money for every separate thing, this ballroom makes you a fantastic package within your budget for everything you need. There is no issue for the number of people that this venue can hold. You can have up to 500 people. Also, there is no question about parking. There is plenty of parking for all your guests. They have vendors to do anything you need for your event. Anywhere from needing someone to do decoration to get a cake or DJ. This ballroom makes everything complete from having a red carpet entrance and LED lights to have a wonderful experience with the manager and staff. Reasons why you should not have your event...
