This review has been long overdue but better late than never right?! Let me just say that this is my favorite spot for whenever I'm craving a light flavored Sopa (Soup). In my opinion it is more of a Caldo or broth in consistenc in my opinion but they call it Soup. Well, im the type of person that does not like anything bland or too lightly seasoned but this soup for some reason has me hooked. My go to soups are Sopa de Res (beef) o de Tripa (Tripe).. let me just say that the recipe never changes. Its also low sodium but comes with a piece of lime on the side and there's always table salt available. It comes available in one size, in a large bowl for like under $15 and side options are small white rice or tortillas.. so you not only get a large soup but a side.. I usually end up taking half of the soup to go because its a very large portion. Btw if you order the beef it doesn't come with as much meat (usually 2 pieces of beef chuck) so i order the Tripe which offers more meat and tastes better in my opinion. The tripe is loaded up and sometimes they throw in extra cartilage which is a great source of collagen - yes the Tripe Soup is an acquired taste but Caribbeans and southerners love it! Always tender and and im just so hooked that I don't care if it's it's raining or a hot summer day.. I don't order anything else thats how good it is to me! The soup has vegetables like corn, carrots, sometimes they throw in pieces of cabbage into the soup a small piece of Chayota and Zucchini. The broth flavor is very light in taste but there's something about it that has me hooked! :) So when my husband asks me what I'm in the mood for on a weekend for lunch one of my choices is usually Sazon Central Americano.. we always start with 1 Pupusa or he'll have 2 with cheese and meat each combined in the dough and it always comes with add a large side their shredded pickled cabbage/carrot/onion (it's similar to Korean Kimchi) and sooooo good with their red sauce.. they make them fresh! This is a good starter meal or you can just order a few Pupusas (3 or more). My husband loves their specials and one particular is their combined plate of a piece of small grilled steak, piece of grilled chicken and a flavor-packed Chorizo plate which he requests with fried Plantains chips (Tostones) and a side salad. It always tastes great and juicy and is always well seasoned! Don't you just love a place that the their Chef or Cooks get it just right always?! Well we do!The waitstaff are very attentive and always warm and polite. We truly appreciate their service so please make sure to tip well. The prices here are fairly decent and everything is always on...
Read moreThe food is good but the staff it’s horrible and they give you horrible customer service. I called ahead of time to verify that my order was ready for the woman at the front desk told me that it was ready for pick up it had been finished for a long time when I got there she informs me that she lied to me because she didn’t know and she didn’t think I was going to go pick it up so quickly. Secondly I am asking her how long is it going to take and she says I don’t know because we just started cooking it I wasn’t the only person who she told us to do were five or 10 customers with the same issues I had. Then the staff proceeded to ignore us because she said it was too hectic she was too busy she created this by telling everybody the food was ready and that it was packaged just to come and pick it up . If that wasn’t bad enough I witnessed this girl staff that was there this woman who told a customer that if she didn’t like it she can go eat somewhere else meanwhile she created this mess by telling everybody that their food was ready to come and pick it up and she got frustrated when people were there angry because they were waiting over 15 minutes there is no parking there by the way. The food is really good but the service absolutely sucks they are rude untrained unqualified they don’t know how to speak to a customer I would not eat there again not because of the food but because of the RUDE STAFF. I had read a similar review I ignored it and I realized it is true what someone wrote I made the mistake of not listening to the review and going there don’t make the same mistake oh and I realize my order was wrong...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant, driven by my husband's Honduran roots, and it exceeded our expectations. The waiter's exceptional politeness and impeccable tableside manners left a lasting impression, reminiscent of my father's high standards for service.
The food was a true delight. My husband relished an order of baleadas, featuring homemade, thick, and soft flour tortillas that were simply perfect. We loved them so much that we took two extra tortillas back to our hotel. My choice of pupusas—queso, chicharron, and revuelta—was nothing short of amazing. Generously filled and substantial, they were a flavorful experience. Adding to the feast, the maduros appetizer with cream was a highlight, and I could easily devour a whole plate.
In conclusion, this restaurant is a gem for those reconnecting with their roots or daring to explore something new. We're eager to return and savor the delightful...
