I’m not one to ever write negative reviews, heck I even gave the Flemington DMV 5 stars but man these guys have lost me.
First I buy an OG Xbox and a bunch of games. It works great. No issues at all. Then I decide I want to start a collection so I go to buy a 360. Well turns out the one that I buy from them wasn’t cleared of old profiles, downloads, ect, had a corrupted hard drive and a disk drive that wouldn’t open. I was told “the guy who was supposed to do check this obviously didn’t and doesn’t work here so bring it back and we’ll take care of it.” Well I drive over an hour and their version of “take care of it” is me just buying a different Xbox 360 and paying the difference in price. Then I say ok. I’m gonna give them another shot. So I call up and ask since I live over an hour away and for some reason the website isn’t allowing me to have games shipped to my house, can I just pay for it now and save myself a wasted trip since none of the gsmes were at the location in Clark which is the closet/least inconvenient of the stores. I was told no because of theft issues which I understood so I had someone do me a favor and run over to the store on Wednesday to pay and start the process. They were told that the store would be contacting me either Saturday or Sunday when the gsmes are in. I get a call on Thursday that ALL of the games are in. I again tell the dude I live over an hour away are you sure the games are all there? I get told yup I’m looking right at them. So I drive over an hour to the store and low and behold we’re missing a game! So I tell the dude that I’m not gonna take a 2 hour plus round trip for a single 8 dollar videogame and to just give me my money back. They tell me that they can’t and that they can only do store credit. They then tell me that the manager is dropping th game off today (Friday). Well fast forward to the time of this post on Sunday afternoon and no one ever called me to tell me the game is in. I have to again ask someone for a favor to check and boom. The game is there and the manager just “forgot” to call me back. Bottom line if you want people to take your money and then lie to your face just donate to a politician.
Sincerely,
A dude who would have happily continued to spend money at your store if you made even the slightest attempt to rectify your...
Read moreThe online customer support for this business is horrible. When I called in store I was told they can do nothing about buying a game from their online store because they are a different department. I bought Pokemon heartgold (brand new) on their site for $500 dollars. Brand new games on there site are described as coming with all original components complete in box. On the listing it says **No pokewalker included which I was fine with. What the listing did not state is that it was only the game and no big box included either. So I bought this item at night and the next morning I used their online chat to confirm if the big box was also included and they responded with no. I asked them to cancel my order at that point. I then didn’t receive a response until 5 hours later after they created my shipping label. They then responded with that I will now have to pay them a 4% restocking fee which is $20 dollars for a $500 dollar game. When I tried to explain to them that no where on the site it said the big box was not included, it only stated that the pokewalker was not included. They made the excuse that if the big box was included “it would cost at least $700 dollars so I should have known it wasn’t included”. This was a horrible experience, the site clearly states that brand new is described as coming with all components. The listing stated it would only be missing the pokewalker. I still want a full refund but I still had to pay the $20 and there was no resolution. Would never purchase from here again as their customer service does not care about the customer at all and will blame you for their misleading online listing. THEY SINCE UPDATED THE LISTING TO INCLUDE THAT THE BIG BOX IS NOT INCLUDED TOO BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY...
Read moreI work in retail so I never ever do this but after the last 2 awful experiences we've had in the Clark location it feels necessary to share it. My wife purchased a bunch of games for me 4 days ago for my birthday. I've spoke highly of the place in the past so after everything was given to me she mentioned the people at the store were off-putting. She asked if there were multiple games in stock she was looking to purchase and after being told no to 3-4 of them she turned around and noticed they were in the glass case, at which point she had to point it out to the person working there to get them out. She was obviously aggrivated by this and said she felt as thought they were not pointed out to her because they were on the more expensive side. I was genuinely surprised by this due to my previous experiences in the store but just thought maybe someone was just having a bad day, be it her or the employees. I would like to reiterate before this next part that I work in retail and neither I nor my wife ever attempt to argue with any store policies whatsoever or elaborate any story regarding them. She asked the employee multiple times if the games could be exchanged and was told yes multiple times. I went in there today to exchange one of them and pick up some more games and now apparently they would only trade it in. When describing the person I spoke to today I found out it's the same person she dealt with as well. The staff in the store as of late has gone from genuinely helpful to completely off-putting. I've always supported brick and mortar even though prices are higher mainly because a helpful staff makes it worth it. When a staff is completely off-putting what's the point anymore when I can pay much less to...
