This place is unbelievable. I came here with my mom around Christmas time and had a decent experience. Sandwiches were good, place was busy, and they even gave us a few free bagels because they were closing up soon. So this past weekend I brought my father thinking we’d have a similar experience. Well, first, we walked in at 2:10pm and it looked like they were already closed up. I asked and said “are you closed?” And the woman at the front said “oh no we’re not.” That was the first opportunity they had to tell us they would be closing by 3p. Then we ordered a container of tuna salad and a hot pastrami sandwich. We told them we would like to eat there instead of take out, they said “no problem”. That was their second opportunity to say “ok but just so you know we are closing in 30 minutes.” Then, the food came. The tuna was basic tuna salad. The pastrami sandwich however was awful. Like three pieces pastrami. Yellow mustard instead of spicy golden. And when the woman asked my father “do you want anything else?” after he ordered his sandwich, he said sure, I’ll take some coleslaw. She had them put it ON the sandwich. Wtf? Wouldn’t you ask someone that? So now we’re eating this very mediocre almost bad lunch, and at 2:55 we’re told, sorry we’re closing up if you could finish and leave. We asked for 5 minutes and 5 minutes later, someone who must’ve been the owner, an older bald gentleman with glasses comes into the dining room, says “come on guy we’re closed I want to go home I’ve been here since 5 o’clock and I live in New York.” And then proceeded to shut the lights off on us. I said someone at any point of time especially when we walked in, ordered, said we were dining in, or any time could’ve said, and we close at 3. The bad food would’ve been enough for us to not come back, the god awful service will definitely never have us come...

This place must survive on its existing customers. I walked in there with a hungry 6 year old, grabbed 2 drinks and walked to register where the bagels are on display, to grab a quick bagel with cream cheese for him before his camp day. It was just us and one other couple in the place when arrived, but the employees didn't acknowledge or greet us at all, so we went up to the register with our drinks and waited. After six or seven more customers had entered and gone directly to the other side of the bagel shop counter we realized that's where the orders were taken, but nobody informed us that so we didn't even have a chance to order anything because there was a huge line in front of us. I was so excited to find a little bagel shop and now I regret stopping; we were both super disappointed, he was sad he could not have his rainbow bagel and I was upset to have such a bad customer service experience. Customer retention is important but treating someone who has been in your business for the first time like they're invisible because they don't know where to order is rude, unprofessional, and not good for growing your business....

Every time I go here they make a mistake. The one guy is a jerkoff. He told me to shut up because he couldn't talk to another customer and I wasn't even talking. That woman over there is just an idiot. Twice in a row I ordered bacon and twice in a row she forgets to make it when it came time to pay so i had to wait longer. And the last time I went there I asked for bacon lightly cooked I get it crispy. These people just either have bad listening skills or don't understand English. Or both! Also the last time I was there I got charged 14.75 for a ham and spinach omelette a side of bacon and a bagel with cream cheese. The stupid guy doesn't even tell me the price just gives me my change back and I got 5.25 back on 20. I get charged about 11 dollars for the exact same order at Colonia Bagels Supreme. Friggin place is a joke. I'm generous for giving 2 stars because the food is mildly acceptable and because they open at 5 am. Colonia Supreme Bagels is so much better but too bad they open at 6 am and I usually am asleep by then so i pretty much have to...
