Buyer BEWARE!! I don't normally post reviews but the treatment I received from Charlotte and Chris at this location was beyond unprofessional! I spoke with Chris on a Saturday and was given a quote of what my service would run monthly, $246. I was in the store on Sunday to begin the service, Charlotte took care of me, I told her about the quote and she agreed and moved on with my purchases, all the while she was on hold with AT&T for her mother in law and would stop waiting on me when someone came on the line. When she got done, she told me my monthly charges would be close to $400 and I told her that wasn't what we agreed upon! She then did a few things and told me it would be $274, I agreed to this amount. I ended up downloading the Verizon App-thank goodness-and found out my first bill, which is usually higher, was going to be $609 and the monthly charges after that were $489! I called the store, spoke with Charlotte and she told me "those things are never right!!" They were right and those were actual charges, I took my phones back into the store to cancel, when Charlotte saw me, her first words were "so you're returning here too!!"( I had to leave US Cellular because I couldn't receive service at my home.) Then she quickly looked at Chris and told him to wait on me...I had to ask her to put on her MASK!! He didn't want to do anything for me and wouldn't even speak, he continued to mess around with the computer until it was 3 minutes after 7 and proceeded to tell me that " you have to come back when there is time to call into customer service, I can't help you return these phones and they are now closed!" I believe he did this on purpose to inconvenience me. In the meantime I did tell Charlotte that what she said was uncalled for and she needed to be reported to Verizon, her statement to me was "we have nothing to do with Verizon!!" I ended up at Meadowbrook Mall and Logan took care of everything I needed and was beyond professional, Kate, the District Manager was supposed to call me but I never did hear from her so Jeff, I hope you see this and look into this matter! Went in to complete or at least get some help on getting Samsung Switch to work since it would not connect to the old device and they offer the option to transfer by cable versus wifi but Samsung no longer supplies the dongle needed to actually complete that option. So i figured the store would have it or at least help.. i was worng!!!
First thing the manager and sale rep said "Did you buy this phone here?". Told them no I was sent the phone from your corperate to replace the broken one they send me. Just need a second to see if they could help.
Since I didn't get the phone from them they then said" Oh, well then we have to charge you $30.00 to do a Smart Switch", well i found that kinda rude and a little crazy since its a Verizon location and I was told by Verizon to go to the store and they would be more then happy to help out but never mentioned any form of a charge. Plus, I just stated to the rep and manager that Smart Switch for Samsung was not working and thats why I was at the store in the first place. I understand a total empty store and both of them surfing on their phones and the internet that I was bugging them and they prefer to seat there and do nothing versus actaully trying to help. I've worked in the industry for many many years and ran several locations and we always helped our customers no matter if we sold the phone or not.
So I mention again that I was told to come here and no mention of a charge. Well, she then said, "WELL WE DIDNT SELL YOU THAT DEVICE AND MADE NOTHING FROM YOU SO WHY SHOULD WE HELP YOU!". Well, I've been in customer service field for about 40 years and never once told a paying customer what she said to me. Now I know why the store was completely empty. Do yourself a favor, don't go to this store. Read moreVery unhappy and a few months ago I was going to add a line and get a new iPhone XS.. and this store told me there was a boho sale and I could get a 2 nd phone free if I added a line . My phone was fine and still worked great so I told them I didn’t need another phone well the longer I was in there the more they said I could have have a 2nd phone for free .. they were really pushy in trying to talk me into a 2nd phone.. said I could get the new car commingled out in a few days, so I asked lots of questions about if I could pay off the first device and I really didn’t want my bill to go up more.. they told me as long as I leave 750 on the add a line they would pay off that device over the next two years and told me to wait 30 days before I payed off the first device.. so they talked me into getting another new phone.. I should’ve used my judgement and just got the one phone because I have been getting a run around now . I guess when I payed off the first device that voided the bogo sale.. I was very Mis informed.. I and will never shop with them again .. I talked to them several times and they said that isn’t what they told me .. and I have been told every thing from I purchased the wrong phone to I didn’t pay the same day .. no one there could help. And now I am have to pay for two new devices when I only wanted one in the first place.. Everytime I went into this store they are the pushiest people trying to make a sale! I will never buy a bogo phone again because to many ways for them to get out of paying for the 2nd phone.. I have called Verizon and they also told me that when I paid off the first device it voided my bogo... I wish someone would have told me this when I asked about paying it off or when I went back 30 days later to pay it off in this store .. very unhappy with these so called chain stores.
