Update....Finally made it by for some food. I had the skillet with pork belly and ham. It was solid. My server raved about the pork belly....just wish there had been more....ham was a ton of it and good. Gravy and tater tots were perfect. My egg was cooked exactly how I requested it. I have a biscuit problem and since the skillet doesn't come with a biscuit I ordered one on the side. It was okay. I'm from the south and maybe I'm just spoiled. It wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away. My dining partner had the eggs Benedict. She said it was good. Her side of tots (they call them kegs) was enormous. I thought prices were very fair especially in this economy. Small space but done well. Nice bar. Interacted with two servers and the bartender. They were all fantastic. Completely honest. Did not eat. Met the owner on a Saturday before opening. He was sitting outside and since I'm not from Clarksburg I was unsure if they were opening or closing. He told me they had a 'soft' opening the following Wednesday. He explained the concept. I LOVE whiskey and bourbon and the brands he planned on having were some of the best. He went in and got me a menu. Nice guy and I will try next...

My family and I had breakfast here for the first time. Loved the name. Drove up and loved the advertisement truck but it was parked in a non parking space making the entrance and exit one lane. Then there was an advertisement motorcycle one of the closest parking spot which should be handicap. Not a great first impression but we were still excited.

When we walked in we seated ourselves. There was a male employee and two females, pretty girls, not one of them smiled the entire time we were there. Not sure why. Their shirts said “No rest for the women.” Maybe I wouldn’t smile if that was the owners moto. 🤪

My daughter ordered milk. She told me to taste IT because it tasted weird. It was spoiled!! I almost threw up. No facial expressions from the waitress, no apology, just a robotic, “I’ll get you another.”

We were weary at this point but Emily drive isn’t fun to navigate. I was a chore just to get there. I can’t speak for anyone else’s meal, they simply said their food was ok. I got the chicken and biscuits. I didn’t realize it would be chicken jerky. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want more food from them. Just wanted to eat and leave.

Sometimes it doesn’t pay to stray...

Upon hearing about this restaraunt I was excited to try it out. Whiskey and biscuits are two of my favorite things. Unfortunately, the whiskey selection was similar to that of most college dorms, being made up of standard jack Daniels and makers mark. On their own these whiskeys are fine, but for a place to claim to be about their whiskey and serve only the cheapest glass bottles is disappointing. However disappointing their whiskey selection, the food is where this place really disappointed me. Their homemade sausage patties are flavorless and dense, reminding one of a meat substitute. Their potato kegs are frozen hash browns and I've had crisper ones out of the microwave. Cheesy grits had no cheese i could detect visually or by flavor, and had not been seasoned with salt or pepper. The Belgian waffles were barely cooked and were quite pale with no texture. The shrimp in the shrimp and grits were severely overcooked and rubbery. Somehow the eggs were cooked in a way that left the yolks overdone and whites undercooked. If I'd not been given a gift certificate and had actually had to pay...

I had lunch here today and I thought it was fine. It's at Eastpoint back behind Qdoba where Burgerim used to be. Eastpoint is a bit of a pain to get into, but it's where the restaurants are. There's plenty of parking and there were a few tables out on the sidewalk. They had a bit of a lunch rush while I was there but still plenty of room at the bar. I was greeted immediately and got my drink. Their taps were out while I was there, but that looked temporary. They have a very large menu and I worry they might be spreading themselves too thin there, but I'd also like to come back and try other stuff. I ordered a smash burger and some cheesy grits, and it came out quickly. I thought the burger was above average. Service was quick and friendly. I like the vibe of the place. It has a good amount of seating, feels well lit and clean. I would recommend Whiskey Biscuits, and I'll be back sometime to try the breakfast.

My girlfriend and I came here for breakfast. The menu has plenty of options. I went with the steak and eggs and she got a fritatta. We had fresh squeezed orange juice that was so refreshing and bright. We also got a side of smoked pork belly. Do bot be confused, this stuff is NOT bacon. It is a super thick cut of smoked pork belly that melts in your mouth and carries tons of good smoky flavor with it. The Whiskey biscuit was light and fluffy, with the barest hint of Whiskey flavor in it, and was nice and buttery. We didn't do any cocktails but they looked good on the menu. The bill for two of us came out to $60 with the tip. Which for 2 entrees, 2 sides. And 2 orange juices I thought was a bit pricey, but for the quality of the food and ingredients I would definitely feel comfortable going again as a nice treat.
