We were out of food for our quail chicks and didn’t want to drive a few cities over to the Tractor Supply, so we called Dallas Green to see if they had 30% game bird crumble. They confirmed they had it in stock, so we headed down the road to the store.
When we got there, we were a little confused because Google Maps took up to an art shop. Luckily there was a little sign above the shop that said Dallas Green was around the corner, so we pulled around and parked. It was difficult to see the entrance because of all the pallets piled around, but we found the door.
When we walked in, the employees looked at us and then went about their business (me being an introvert, I didn’t mind this). We walked around looking for the feed, but couldn’t find it, so we asked an employee. They told us we need to pay for it at the register and then to drive around to pick it up, so we paid $20+ and then headed out to our car.
We pulled in to the warehouse and the employee confirmed we wanted 30% game bird crumble. He then started yelling at another employee for not doing his job while he went and looked for the crumble. He came back to the car with a 50lb bag and my husband opened the trunk for him. He put the bag in the back and told us how to get out of the warehouse (you just pull forward and make a left).
Once we got home and went to give the quail chicks their food, we realized they gave us pellets instead of crumble. The birds are too little to eat pellets, so for now I’ll need to blend it before giving it to them. It’s extra work I didn’t want to do, but I already opened the bag so I can’t swap it out for crumble.
I feel like this place has good prices and I like the ease of driving through the warehouse. When we try this place again, we’ll double check that they grabbed the correct...
Read moreMy stepfather has been a loyal customer for years. He started shopping in Layton and followed the store to Clearfield. Cal Ranch is just down the street but we both enjoy the visit to our local business. However, today we were super disappointed to learn that our favorite associate was asked to leave. His name is Shyster. A small Jack Russel that we look forward to seeing on our weekly visits. We even plan our shopping on the day he is not getting groomed. (Tuesday) Please let him come back or we may not. We will...
Read moreThis post is strictly in regards to their fertilizer. Don’t buy it unless you can use it all at once immediately after you buy it. They claim it to be the best, which may be true. But if you open a bag and your yard isn’t big enough, before you get a chance to use the rest of it it will break down and you’ll be left with a brick of useless powder. They’ll tell you not to store it in a shed or your garage where it gets hot, so tell your kids to move their toys aside. You’re going to have to start storing it in...
