Twisted Sugar — Restaurant in Syracuse

2022 - Ever since moving to Utah, Twisted Sugar in Syracuse has been my go-to cookie place! I especially love their Christmas Crinkle cookie, Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie cookie and Banana Cream Pie cookie and look forward to their two cookies of the month!

Updated Review 2/22/24 I was excited to try Twisted Sugars 2 cookies of the month today since they said they were Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Lemon Raspberry Truffle in my app and I show up to the Syracuse location and the lady said those were West Points flavors. I was so bummed (the app was wrong). I almost drove off (I wish I did) but I ended up getting the red velvet cookie and the Cupids cookie and I was so disappointed. Nothing special about either of them. In fact, the last 3-4 times I've been here, I've been disappointed with the cookies I have purchased. I thought I'd give them another try today, but that's the last time I go back. Honestly, I bake better cookies!!! Cupids cookie seemed like they threw in random ingredients that they had left overs of and thought they'd be a good combo.. nope. I'm moving onto try another...

I’m giving this a 2 star instead of a one star because after I went home and baked my own cookie, it was pretty good! I’m not talking about a cookie that was just a little underdone here. I’m talking about they gave me cookie dough that was still frozen. It was literally a frozen dough ball. I touched the top of it right after she gave it to me and said this feels very cold like it’s frozen. She said yeah we just took it out. It hasn’t completely unthawed. I didn’t give that much thought because I was like OK…maybe they cook the cookies in advance and then freeze them to keep them fresh and then take them out as they need them. About halfway home I decided to take a bite out of it, and nearly broke my teeth! 😂 I got home and took a closer look at it and realized it was actually cookie dough! I've recently had a couple of concerning issues here. The first is due to not being able to see the prices of anything. If they are displayed I can't see them anywhere. So today when I ordered the price seemed higher than I thought it should be so I attempted ordering the same things online at the same location and guess what, the price was lower (this was not due to tax). So I do don't know if the employee added a tip for herself or charged me incorrectly but typically they turn the iPad around so I can select a tip amount. This didn't happen today. Seems suspicious. The second experience was partially my fault since I didn't check my order one time and left short some cookies, we went back within 5 minutes and unfortunately were made to purchase the cookies again. I understand mistakes happen but I'll definitely be more vigilant in the future and ask for the prices of things since I...
