We've never been to a jack in the box before so we decided to try it today. We placed an online order and my wife left to go get it. Turns out they had a 40 plus minute line so she got to the front window and the dude gave her attitude for not arriving timely as the order had been sitting cold that whole time but nothing we could do as the line was super long. Now the 1 star comes from what happened after this small exchange. The dude went red in the face and started screaming and spitting when my wife asked for fresh food to be made. He had to be escorted out by security and peeled out of the drive way, hitting a cone doing so. The next person then asked her to pull up ahead as "new" food would be made. Well to further people just being awful for no reason, the workers proceeded to watch my wife out the windows for 30 minutes before someone brought her the food. The lady who brought it out saw nobody in the front seat as my wife was trying to calm down our 9 month old who was woken up by the previous guy. She said out loud, nobody is in the front seat so nobody gets food. My wife had to quickly roll down the back window to yell for her to give us the food. The whole time this is happening, my wife tried calling the manager inside who she could see through the windows was declining the calls. When she got home, not only was the order wrong which I have the reciept to but the food clearly wasn't a fresh batch as most of it was almost frozen, it was so cold. The only hot item was the burrito which you could tell from the cheese was microwaved. So we got yelled at for their long line and inability to serve quickly then got treated like the problem and circus show all because some employ went ballistic. We just ordered ahead and the line took 40 minutes to get through, how could we have know that. It obviously doesn't mean much to fast food but we won't be going back to jack in the box in...
Read moreI've been to this location several times as it's close by. 9 times out of 10, not exaggerating, the order is wrong or missingsomething. And the wait is horrendous for fast food. I'm currently sitting waiting for an order placed online and it's over 10 minutes past my order estimated ready time, which was already 15-20 minutes from ordering. The drive through is just as bad. Or worse. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have to go back to pick up missing food ... and wait ...again. .
update this particular order was ready 35 minutes late. The guy ahead od me also waited 35 minutes for 2 menu items. And other door dash pick ups were waiting 10-15 minutes before even being greeted at the counter. When I finally got my order, 2 items were made incorrectly with mayo where we made no mayo requests, and one item swap on a kids meal, that was an extra cost, was not made (side salad instead of fries. I got fries and not a salad and we have a potato intolerance) ... this was a Sunday evening, and it appeared there were only 2 employees working. One of them might have been new, but I've run fast food restaurants before and you don't leave the new guy as one of the only two there at dinnertime when you have a lobby and a drive through. Read moreThis location started out great, visited them a few years back on Thanksgiving evening when they were one of the few locations open. Fast forward to now, employees that make mistakes on simple things like today where a billing mistake resulted in being charged 50% more than the order I placed and me being on the hook for a few days for someone else's order and mistake while I'm guessing they got away with a free meal. Add that to the connotation involved in asking a drive through attendant for "Good Good Sauce" as a male, it's a mess that's designed to fail in general. I've been to this location and had them literally tell me they are no longer accepting orders at the drive through....I guess fast food is now no food? Shut this location down, it's no longer feasible. The rating I gave this location was a benefit of the doubt rating, you deserve a strong 1 star at best. The location in Layton a mile to the east is light years ahead of you for now but knowing what I have learned about franchise locations I'm guessing all of the locations in a 10 mile radius will be terrible in the next year.
