Yes it was Ken who I dealt with. His printing had some alignment errors I wanted to point out and he refused to take a close look. I found him to be a very unstable individual and unprofessional operator. This was my first time dealing with him and his lady assistant. I had a smallish job, less than $100. Were they too busy with more important stuff? I don't know; there were zero other customers in the store at the time.

I felt both of them went immediately on the defensive and took a highly negative, non-listening posture when I came in to get a fix to the printouts. I'm not white, and they seemed to have no courtesy for me, whether that's related or not. I don't think they were against my race by default, but I sensed maybe they thought I wanted to attack them personally: as calmly as I tried to speak to them and point out the discrepancies, they both seemed to keep growing negative, distrustful, defensive.

I tried to explain small details of the prints in the face of comments like, "yeah, well I did just as you asked," or, "that's the file you gave," and after other attempts, they seemed to get to a point where they simply could not relax to realize I had no attack for them as a business or as people, only a request for a re-do (I wanted to get things correct on a 2 sided copy, things that were not affected by any parameters of my PDF file, but that could be affected by handling the paper when reversing it for the second side print). Without comprehending what I tried to point out, without any 2nd try of the job, he told me I could go someplace else! I did. I recommend you do, too. He never said I wasn't entitled to a re-print, but after that treatment, there's no way I'll deal with this place again.

I know this differs sharply from other reviews. But it happened just as shockingly unprofessional as I've described, and I encourage any other reviewer to share any similar story so others know the balance of this owner's behavior whenever there's anything amiss with his work. Ken and Karen did an amazing job on my banner for my business. Ken even matched the font from my logo and made the web address and phone number match - I didn’t even ask for him to do this and he went the extra mile.
