Flying Scissors Salon & Spa — Local services in Clermont

I've been using this salon for a few years now and I really like the people who work there. They are all friendly and helpful! The salon has high end products as well as reasonably priced products - and I love their gift sets that are available any time of the year! The stylist I use is Lisa B and what is great about her is her experience! Just talk to her about what you like and she can create a cut and style that works for you! I'm excited to see what she can do next as I'm scheduled for a color touch up and highlights! I've never been disappointed here. The prices for their services are very reasonable as well so if you are looking for a change from the everyday same, check them out!

Just an update - I went for my hair color and highlights and I was not disappointed! My hair is fabulous! Lisa took the time to match my natural color and gave me highlights that look so natural it's amazing! When she first revealed them I cringed a little because I thought they were too much for me to wear. I have nothing against people who are brave enough to wear bold hair colors but that is not me unfortunately. Lisa assured me that she was going to tone them down a little so they blend in better and whatever product she used did the trick! My husband loves my hair as much as I do!

I had a LOT done and it took 4 hours to achieve this look but - what's even better - is that Lisa and I discussed what I had in mind and she went and worked up a price for everything that I wanted to do and reviewed it with me so I knew up front what it cost before she started! No surprises!

Here's a tip - if you want to gift someone a glamorous look, talk to one of the stylists about what you think that special someone would like done and get a ball park price then purchase a gift certificate! This place is great, clean, professional, and you leave there feeling - WOW! ...

JANET IS AMAZING!!! I think I found my new permanent hair stylist! At least until she retires or has a random craving to shift careers someday.

For backstory, I had just had a bad haircut experience back in June at a different hair salon where I had asked for a hair cut with bangs, face-framing pieces, and layers and received just a 3 inch trim instead. I left that experience feeling sad and like I had wasted money.

Today I decided to try for that same haircut again. My wedding is Oct. 7th and I wanted my hair to feel nicer for it. So I did my research this time and tried “Flying Scissors”.

I’m so happy I did! I’m in love with my hair. It feels so much healthier, I got to keep a lot of my length, and the cut is so pretty.

Janet was so kind too. She was easy and fun to converse with, as well as professional. She gave me a cooling eye mask while washing my hair, put plenty of products in my hair, asked to look at the inspo. picture I provided her with a few times just to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. And she even took notice to the shedding/dryness of my hair and gave me a home-remedy tip that could help.

It has taken me a long time to decide to write this review. My hair did not turn out anywhere near the photo that I had shown as a reference. The picture showed an ashy balayage with long layers. I left with a golden yellow balayage with huge chunks of brown through the bottom section of hair that had zero blonde blended into it. I called the next day and one of the owners offered to fix my hair. I came back and showed the exact same picture and she said that she would fix it. I still left with Golden blonde (slightly less but nothing like the picture) and still some decent size chunks of brown. It was better then what I started with so I left and sat with this hair for months thinking that I would get used to it and not wanting to spend the money to have it redone. I finally decided to drive to my old salon (over an hr away) to get their opinion since they had done a fantastic balayage on me before. They confirmed my suspicions, I was not toned properly either time, it wasn't blended correctly, and it wasn't colored to follow how my hair naturally sits. I am so frustrated that I spend hundreds of dollars to get this done, only to have to spend even more getting it fixed. Only reason that this review isn't a 1 star is because everyone there was...
