So it's been a month. Here's everything you need to know if you're thinking of moving here:
Pros: -The leasing office staff is exceptional. -The resident lounge is very nice. All the amenities are awesome to have. -Maintenance requests are received and fixed very quickly. -If you're willing to live in a "Classic" style, you can save a lot of money on rent... although there are renovated options. -They have an optional service that comes by twice a week and takes away your garbage to the dumpster for you. -There's no hallway to get to the front door. Having an actual front door instead of a key to get inside and a second key to get into your apartment is very nice. -The pool is fun and rarely very busy. -The landscaping is very well kept here. Lots of people take their dogs on walks around the complex no problem. There are even bag stations that are regularly stocked. -There's free coffee in the resident lounge which is amazing for when you're done using the gym. -One parking pass so you can park close to your front door.
Cons: -There's not much parking close to your front doors for guests, or if you have two cars. -The walls are so thin. You can hear your neighbors yelling at each other, walking in their kitchen with their shoes on, or just conversing outside on their way to their car. If your neighbor's dog barks regularly, it's going to get old, fast. I never had this issue at my old apartment complex. It's not so bad if they're not being too rowdy. Just expect this to be a regular issue. -There is a gate, but the pedestrian gate is always unlocked. Kind of defeats the purpose. -If you have kids, don't expect to play at the park. It's absolute trash. Rust everywhere. It's tiny, and there aren't even any swings. No shade so after walking there in 95 degree summer weather, you have to sit in the sun. I walked my 2 year old to play there... there were beer cans and cigarette boxes lying around. I was shocked as the appearance of this park, as the Citrus Tower apartments property is usually pristine. My son asked to leave, and I was shocked by this since he loves going to the park & we hadn't been in weeks since we had been in the moving process for so long.
Overall the pros outweigh the cons. I know I will enjoy living here for the next 1-2 years. Someday I will be a homeowner, so I'm not too bitter about the "cons" - it's all temporary. Some of these reviews are so dramatic and personal. Be on the lookout for reviews that will give you some facts to help you logically decide if you want to live...
Read moreLived here for a year, and while some things are just to be expected in apartment communities, I am disappointed with our experience for the price of rent here.
The apartment was dirty upon move-in. The ceilings and walls were dusty from previous tenants, rather than construction. The carpet had not been replaced, cleaned, or even vacuumed after previous tenants which became obvious after finding popcorn kernels and such. Having previously worked doing move out cleans, this would not have been an acceptable job. Also disappointed in their choice of using matte paint to save a few dollars, when it it nearly impossible to clean. From move in to move out, the whole apartment had a lingering musty smell that we could not get rid of.
My encounters with Susan were extremely rude. At one point I received a call from her starting with "you're lucky your car didn't get towed" while my car was parked in my assigned space. From then we had to worry our car would be towed, because she couldn't be bothered to fact check on her computer.
Took 8 maintenance requests to replace the dryer with the one that is in all the other apartments, as it kept breaking.
Had many complaints to the office about the kids playing in the road unsupervised, jumping on the hoods of cars, and even ended up with several baseball sized dents in our vehicles.
Even with an assigned space, I'd regularly come home from work to find it taken and too late to call towing. I'd also leave in the morning to take my son to school, and many times found my spot taken by the contractors before the office would open.
Upon move out, we received an itemized list of additional charges including carpet and paint, which as stated above weren't even done when we moved in, as well as you'd expect that to be a standard expense taken from the original deposit paid.
When we had moved in the buildings were colorful and while the paint was a little worn, it was a nice change from the typical apartments you see.... until they repainted to the dull landlord gray that it is today. I have to say while this is not a serious issue, it was very disappointing to see.
The gates also end up being more of a hindrance than anything, as people will line up blocking the entrance until you input your code. Also, watch out for the people that are too impatient to wait for the exit gate to open.
I would like to add that the only pleasant part of our stay worth mentioning would be Jackie in the office. She was always willing to help, professional, and...
Read moreI have been with Citrus tower apartments for over 3 years. They made my move from New York to Florida super easy and I loved living there. My daughter loves all the amenities and pet friendly. In general a really great place to live. Recently we had some changes in management, but I have to say Markus the manager goes above and beyond. Along with Sabrina, Jackie and especially Susan. I am so sad that I unfortunately have to leave them. They have become just like family. I left due to relationship/income changes but if I could stay this would always be my first choice in Clermont. They do not treat you like just a tenant, but family. Maintenance crew is always there quickly after putting in a request. Jose and the others with a smile to help, never a bother: I hope one day I can return. This was the first apartment community I was in, and it had set a standard that I WILL NEVER meet. I did go through some financial issues and Markus and Susan never made me feel worthless. The communication was always heartfelt. Also the club house always smells so good :) we loved going there to see the smiles and hearing the laughter of how they all work so well together. They are the ideal management company. It definitely changed for the better since I first moved there. But it has always been a pleasure to be apart of this community. I hope one day I can return. The apartments are HUGE, all new up to date appliances. I forgot how to use a key and was spoiled with the electronic door. The pool is the MOST RELAXING area, and always clean. Parking has been an issue but they have stepped it up and made it easier with what they have. This is definitely a place to call home. If youâre thinking about renting here, DO IT. Iâm sure youâll be greeted by Sabrina and Jackie with huge smiles. Markus goes above and beyond with finding ways to help the community and Clermont area with fundraisers and consistently giving back to the Clermont community. They have dealt with me struggling and even tho they followed protocol they were never rude. I will miss visiting the front office and most likely will continue to stop by if I ever need a smile or a laugh. They are a great team that works very well together!!
Good jobs guys, and continue all the hard work you do. Itâs greatly appreciated. đ€ I hope to come...
