In general, I've never had a "good experience" at any Aldi store. I've shopped at several an all of them have two issues that make the experience less than good. Their continued use of that quarter system to use their carts has always frustrated me. I rarely have quarters laying around, and the older I get the less physical money in general I carry. I would rather go to any other store (and I usually do) than deal with the hassle of their quarter machine. The other issue is Aldi always feels disorganized; especially their produce section. I find myself spending way to much time trying to find something, and IF I do, it is often some mold or rotten (it get that fresh produce has this problem and there's not anything we can do to stop it- but it seems that Aldi is the only place I've been to where this is a regular occurrence). But, none of that has been a big enough deal for me to write a review. I simply just shopped somewhere else. But today I decided to shop at the Aldi here in Cleveland because it was "on the way". And what really got to me was the cashier. She knocked on of my items off the conveyor belt. Instead of doing anything, she choose to act like nothing happened and continued to ring up my items. When she had gotten all my other items, I informed her that I had another item that feel. She looked right in my face and said "I didn't see it. Cash or card?" I replied that I did, in fact, have another item that fell and I need it. She then glanced down at the floor for about a second and then replied "Well, I don't see it." I was getting ready to walk away from the register and had even put my card back in my wallet. I told her that I did put another item on the belt and asked her to check a third time. Finally she stood up and checked around her feet and found my item. She had put my times in the cart beside her register, which is standard there. But, the next customer had his items on the register and she began tossing his items in that cart with my items. I attempted to move the cart so that the other costumer could have his items put in his cart when she quite rudely said to me "I need my cart there". So, I had to pull my items out of the cart while she was tossing another costumers items into that same cart. I'd be rather upset if I was the other customer having my stuff tossed in to a cart with someone else's stuff too. This cashier's attitude was completely unnecessary. Her rude behavior has officially ended my desire to shop at an Aldi anywhere. I'll happily drive out of my way to a real store where customers are treated...
Read moreUpdate July 8, 2022. I am dropping my 5 ⭐ down to 3 ⭐ because this store violates the general policy of Aldi chain of super markets. Today the 8th of July 2022 at 5:53PM, a lady walked into the store with a pet dog (IT WAS NOT A SERVICE DOG) and the staff didn't care. I really don't think anyone is going to read this from the Aldi management but I hope the people with dog allergies or who actually wants cleanliness sees this and take precautions. This place is always crawling with homeless people asking for money or food, I ignore the ones asking for money but I buy food for the ones asking for food. That's in the parking lot. But allowing a dog inside the store is a big NO for me.
The first thing I want to mention is the efficiency and speed of the people at the checkout counter. Man, they are fast!! Hence even if there are over a dozen people in the queue, it doesn't matter.
The staff are friendly and the parking area is large and accessible from Euclid Avenue and Carnegie. Hence it's easily accessible.
You'll find what you are looking for most of the time. I have been using this place for over and year and I...
Read moreI love Aldi but this particular one is a favorite of mine. It hasn't been updated but it has the best selection of organic meats, cheeses, and vegetables. I also love their prepared foods such as heat and eat spinach and chicken pizza, hummus, and chicken salad. There are so many vegetarian and vegan options, especially in the frozen section. If you drink green smoothies you'll be able to get everything you need maybe even the smoothie blender for cheaper than it takes to purchase a smoothie from a restaurant. I love the seasonal items and specialty foods. It was recently Chinese New Year so they had tons of Asian specialty foods such as soy marinated beef, ginger soy marinades, and pho broth I am excited to try. There's a money back guarantee on any item your not satisfied with but there's never been anything so offensive that I felt I needed to return it. The store is small and weekends are busy but the staff is efficient and the cashiers are friendly so it...
