We went for the breakfast & lunch buffet for $20. The advertisements for the brunch on social media are very attractive. However, the actual buffet was not.
The place was clean, the buffet menu had many options, the service was good. However, the taste of food was not appealing and the items on the menu were pointless.
The atmosphere is like a school or workplace cafeteria, not like a restaurant. The tables and chairs are simple, there is no decoration. There is a long wall that is made of glass from ceiling to the floor. All of the view is the buildings across the road and parking lot.
There was nothing on the buffet that I want to take for the second time. Everything tasted below average. The items that were supposed to be hot were not hot. They were warm or cold. So, their tastes were not good. For example, they had borek, but I am not sure where they were made. I cannot tell they were made fresh in the house. The simit was unprofessional and it was not like the simit in the ads. The pogachas were were heated from frozen pogachas that were imported from Turkey. Menemen was loaded with lots of onions, while there is a huge debate about using onion in menemen. The scrambled eggs with soudjouk barely had some soudjouk pieces in it and the eggs were partially liquid, not cooked enough. There were jams, honey, molases, tahini, cheeses, olives, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and other typical breakfast items, that were not in my focus.
I asked myself why we drove for an hour to this place, instead of having a better breakfast in our house for a much lower cost with more delicious foods. I had no answer. But, it happened once, and I do not think it will happen again.
When you talk about Turkish breakfast, the Turkish tea takes the most important part. You may choose anything to eat, but a nicely brewed Turkish tea is a must. However, this place chose to offer a tea from tea bags that are not even Turkish, that is made in a cheap coffee machine. The tea was just a typical karavana tea of student dorms. If you like tea for breakfast, get ready for a big disappointment. If you like coffee or juice or milk, they are sorry. They do not have a vision of offering those alternate drinks. You must find your way to enjoy their 'karavana' tea.
There was baklava as well. However, it was not enjoyable either. People choose to drive a distance and pay a high price for a great baklava, but the baklava offered here for no extra cost was not attractive at all. I saw other people who left the baklava in their plates and they went to trash.
With what kind courage are you calling this breakfast a Turkish breakfast? You are not offering an ambiance, you are not offering a quality, there is nothing that cannot be made at home. Seeing an opportunity for a Turkish breakfast does not mean people will run into a place that offers a Turkish breakfast of any quality. and that gap in the market for a Turkish breakfast does not make anybody qualified to offer a Turkish breakfast. You should learn the rules and details of a Turkish breakfast and then come and say you are offering Turkish breakfast. Who do you really expect to leave their house and come to such an ordinary average breakfast for $20?
I went to other places where they charge $15-20 for open buffet, but they offer kababs and high quality main dishes, sides and everything that makes you happy for paying that fee. There is nothing that deserves to pay $20 on your buffet.
If I had gone to a 3-star hotel with free breakfast, I would enjoy a similar breakfast, a free night at hotel and the pool and other activities, and be happier for whole family.
Hope this helps the owner to improve their quality, and change their vision if they want to save their business.
While I was there, I checked the market side. Many items were missing the price labels. I go to other stores and see that all other places can manage to keep their items and price tags in a very well visible form, except this place. If they call this situation an improvement, they are not aware of what business...

Am I in jail?? Even if I did “throw my stuff” which is not completely true, is that an excuse to throw my stuff back?????? Just confirm that your cashier throw my stuff and let people judge on that behavior Also, I was maintaining 6 foot distance if you have heard about COVID-19.
What did I say in my comment? I just politely said what happened to me!! I’m not a person looking for trouble but it seems like you cannot handle this so well. let me tell you a little story I found expired chicken in your store. so please do not reply to this comment and remain silent. if you choose not I’m gonna go after that and try to record your expired groceries and file a lawsuit about how is your grocery is a danger to public health. Have a nice day and teach Dave that a small issue could turn into a lawsuit.
Of course must be your last, cause you can NOT deny that expired chicken story. Why you did not deny or mention that?? On other words, can you??? Review your camera when I was check chicken expired date and post it here. Go ahead I allowed you!!!!!!!!!!!
Another little story, Dave was talking about something with that old Indian woman and show her something in his phone away from the cashier counter and his phone was in the charger. So, I was there waiting for Dave to hook her up or whatever to process me on that 15 minutes. What does ignorance means to you?. If I’m lying, post the whole video here. We all need the record….
