Bark! Luxury Pet Resort — Local services in Cleveland

I tried BARK Luxury Pet Resort yesterday for the first time because it’s close to my house and there is nothing luxury about this place!! They cut the inside of my dogs ear open. I understand that accidents can happen, but I have NEVER had this happen and the lady was extremely rude about it. She called to tell me they were ready for pickup and then immediately started telling me how difficult they were to cut and that she cut one of my dogs ears!!! No one has EVER complained about them being difficult before and definitely hasn’t ever cut them…. She said it was my dogs fault because she was moving her head trying to look at the other dogs. I know it’s difficult but that’s why I paid them 165 dollars!!

My dog was also probably scared because there were SO MANY DOGS IN THERE AT ONCE barking at the same time. They also had two young kids in there SCREAMING when I got there and I’m sure that didn’t help my dogs nerves.

Anyways, I feel like an experienced groomer should be able to handle a dog moving their head around without hurting them. I actually liked their cuts but I won’t be back because of the way the employees handled the situation.

Again, I understand accidents can happen but the way they handled the situation was horrible! They never said sorry, they didn’t offer a discount and they just blamed it on my dog that was “so difficult” and I know she’s not because I have groomed her my self. Maybe if the lady wasn’t trying to rush this wouldn’t have happened but she clearly did not care...

It looks like Bark deleted my last review!!!! So I am putting it back up and hopefully they won’t be aloud to delete this one. If you want them to cut gashes into your fur baby’s ear, then this is the place for you! My poor girl is already timid and they had way to many dogs in there at one time barking and they had little children running around and screaming, so of course she was scared and probably not the easiest to cut due to the circumstances. When the lady called to tell me she was ready she never apologized, she just said in an extremely rude tone that she was done and she cut her ear because she was so difficult to cut. I have never been told my girl is difficult and I’ve especially never had anyone cut her! Still till this day I never got any apologies/reimbursement and her ear did get infected. Instead of the owner trying to make the situation better, they just deleted my review. That’s okay, I will keep putting it back up because people deserve to know how they treat your babies and it’s not with love and care and they don’t respect the clients who are paying luxury prices. Also, the fact that she kept complaining that my sweet girl was so difficult makes me think she needs to find a new career path because all dogs will be difficult in their own way while being shaved, it’s uncomfortable for them. I have personally shaved Marlee and she wasn’t difficult at all and I am not even experienced, and I definitely took my time and made sure I didn’t cut...

It was only my third time dropping my doggie off at dog day play. Early that morning, I called and said my dog was at the end of her heat stage and if I could drop off for dog day play and employee stated, "Yes". I decided to drop my doggie off and made sure remind the employee about her being in heat, and again said, "yes, that's fine we will only put with small girl dogs, in a separate area". After about 5 hours of being at work, I call to check on my girl, and the manager answers and says.. I cannot leave my dog while in heat. So then I mentioned that one of the employees told me I could and there would be no problem on doing so! Then, I asked for a refund because no one called to let me know they left my dog inside the kennel all day without letting me know! I asked kindly for a refund, I was put on hold... The lady told me that the owner said No to refund, and that also we weren't allowed back because I broke the rules! (Note, It was only our third time there, no one had me sign anything, no one mentioned the rules ever to me or my boyfriend, no one was kind, except 2 of there workers 🤣.) The owner's family work at Bark too and they are ALL SO RUDE including the owner!! I will kindly take my business else where. No need for none of this but needed to let everyone know how very unprofessional the owner and family staff are. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT...
