Harper Liquor Land — Local services in Clinton Township

Terrible front counter service, attend was rude and sold a custom barrel pick rye reserved for and paid for by me in advanced. Called weeks before making the 3.5 hour drive to make sure everything was there and good to go, showed up today and one of the two bottles was sold to someone else ( after I already paid for it). Then had to argue with him to get a refund.

I wanted to try a new beer store and extremely disappointed. Employee absolute jerk. I asked for a recommendation for a Canadian beer (the theme of the month for my tasting club) and what followed was the most condescending and asinine response. Finally he pointed me to a Dogfish Head beer... Not Canadian. He laughed at me and told me to go to Canada then. I went to Parkway Liquor at 16 Mile/Groesbeck and got an excellent recommendation for a beer from Unibroue. NEVER going back and would never recommend this place. To say I love Haper Liquor Land would be an understatement. Great prices and the best selection of bourbons I've seen since moving back from KY. The barrel picks have been awesome (Backbone, Old Pepper, Limousine Rye, New Riff, Journeyman, Wilderness Trail, etc.). Also their customer service has no equal. So glad I met Pete and Sam who made me feel at home and helped justify making frequent trips from Farmington Hills to Clinton Township just to support my bourbon needs.
