Travis Restaurant — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I went to Travis on Harper in Clinton Township today to get a carryout that my husband had called in. I was going there as it was on my way home. We called in a grilled chicken sandwich deluxe and a tuna melt deluxe NO RYE TOAST WITH WHITE TOAST. I went in and got my carryout and also tipped, but not before noticing how dirty the place was and that none of the cooks wore gloves and were not the cleanest looking people either. I got home and not only did the chicken sandwich come with just bun, chicken, and a greasy piece of cheese nothing else but a MAN'S ARM HAIR (or something equivalent to) sticking out of the sandwich. Then my tuna melt was made on RYE and not WHITE.

I called to talk to a manager. I didn't get her name but she sounded young and VERY UNCARING to my situation. I told her what had happened and that I was disgusted with the place and their food and that I noticed that none of the cooks wore gloves. NO apology was given and she said to come up and she would refund my money. I live almost 10 miles away and told her that was not possible on this day and that we would never come back to their restaurant again. Her reply......"OK". I hung up I was so angry. She was uncaring, rude, and sounded like I was interrupting her day with my complaint.

I've managed places before and it doesn't take half a brain to know that you do what it takes to make the customer happy. And to be pleasant and not let the person off the phone until you gain their appreciation back. I WAS NOT looking for a handout. If that was the case I would've gotten my money back. But the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and food quality made me decide that the Travis restaurant on Harper in Clinton Township is disgusting in all aspects and I will NEVER, EVER recommend such a terrible place to eat to anyone.

Side note: A friend of mine who lives near there said that they went in there and they were served moldy bread with their sandwich. All the management did was offer to make a new one. ...

Have been coming to this place for quite a few years, me and my son have been going every Thursday lately for dinner, has been an amazing experience so far, until tonight. The waiter we had was very quick to come to our table and wait on us which was nice, we ordered 2 taco soups, hot dog meal and fish. Was only given 1 taco soup, by the time I realized she didn’t bring another one she had already ran off. No biggie just gave my son the one she brought. Then our dinner comes out. My son takes one bite of his hot dog and spits it back out cause it was very much cold, tried to waive our waiter over but she was busy talking to another customer by the register. He ate a few fries and said he was ready to go. Sat there for about 10-15 minutes with out eating waiting for the check, finally comes over and I asked for a pie and 2 boxes. Another 10 minutes went by and still nothing, there was maybe 5 customers there so was confused on what was taking so long so we just walked up to the register, finally got my bill paid and she gives me my pie to go but with no bag or anything, just the to go container. This is my second bad experience here. Truly this establishment apparently knows nothing about customer service. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I was disappointed about the rudeness and customer service. About 7 months ago I ordered some sliders, I asked for raw onion with some tomato and lettuce. The cook said if you want it your way go to McDonalds, we do it this way. He was very rude. I complanied to the wait staff and they just shook their heads. I frequently stop there, small mistakes are made, and I let it go. Today broke the camels back. I ordered (2) omelets I asked for one no cheese and of course there was cheese, but I let it slide. The second omelet I ordered with bacon tomato and green pepper when the cook through the order on the grill, I asked him please do not cook it to well and just leave the veggies slightly raw. He said if don't like it go home and cook it myself. I told them I would be talking to Mike. They said Good Luck.
