You cannot call in an order and expect it to be made by the time you get there. That could be 5 minutes or an hour, it does not matter, I have tried multiple times. The guy will not drop your food until you come. Today, I went in to get food for my mom and I came in, knowing calling was pointless, and ordered (and paid) all at once. I told the guy I would be right back and went to sit in my car for 10 minutes waiting for my food. I came back in and he had not even started my order! I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my food and he tried to charge me again!!! He forgot I came in and ordered (paid) my food. If you want to eat here you should just know its basically sit in only. He was also not friendly and I felt unwelcomed when I was there. To be honest I cant tell you much about his food, It was not for me. I can tell you everytime my mom wants fish some BS happens like this. I am...
Read moreThe restaurant is dirty with sticky floors and tables, a deplorable bathroom with one old toilet and empty soap, and the guy working the cash register and fryer doesn’t wash his hands or use hand sanitizer at all after handling dirty coins and money. The tartar sauce is just a packet of name-brand instead of homemade, but it’s so dirty in there, that you would be wise to not eat mayonnaise from there anyway. The wait time for the food takes way too long, even after you think it was your fish and chips he just dropped into the fryer on a slow day, as the guy always works alone, and never has anyone else working there with him. Just go to Culver’s for a fish sandwich or fish and chips—They’re way better and tastier in a clean restaurant. I’ve given London’s more than one chance, but three strikes and they’re out. I also think I got food poisoning there the last time...
Read moreThe best fish and chips in the area, hands down. I grew up not too far from London Fish and Chips but haven't been back in years. I visited today, given the Lenten season, and I happened to be in the area. I was a bit nervous given the review that described the place as "absolutely filthy" but was pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case. The photos/pictures on the walls have faded over the years, and the table cloths may need updating but no signs of "filth." The fish, crinkle fries, and hush puppies were cooked to order and beyond delicious. The breading was light and crispy, the hush puppies had just a hint of garlic, and the gentleman working was pleasant and amicable. Given today's grocery prices, 2 pieces of fish, chips, hush puppies, and cole slaw for under $10 is a steal. Call ahead or dine in. Support this long-time,...
