I’ve been building models since before before web tv days and have gotten my two boys into it as well. Finding a locally owned (still locally owned even if I have to drive an hour one way) shop that caters to this hobby was a god send. Both of the owners Justin and Carolyn make it an amazing experience that keeps my family coming back. Absolutely love this store. Happen to drop by after a year to look around. Their inventory for Gunpla and other build models is by far the best in the whole state. Wasn't planning on buying anything..... but after a couple hundred dollars later, I am very happy that this store has reignited my passion for it. The owner there was very nice and she was very helpful and knowledgeable of all their products. I can't wait to go and buy more sets. This place is awesome. I decided to check this place out on my lunch, I work in Madison, and saw that this place was just down the street. Upon walking in, I was really impressed with the inventory, layout, and cleanliness of the store. Caroline helped me with assembling a commons Magic Deck, as I am a noob player. Her patience and friendliness was top-tier. I will be returning for matches, setting my friends up with decks using their store inventory, and whatever else worth stopping at Akiba Underground for.
