Just finished our meal. Really cool " grazing board ". Gunner, our server was pleasant and attentive. I ordered the Wedge Salad and the NY Strip. I had read some reviews about how the steaks have come out overdone as well as a long wait. We kind of experienced both. The Chef was REALLY NICE and came out with the steak and showed it to me for my approval. It looked great. I asked to have it seared with with black peppercorns, medium..and he was very attentive. The problem is that for the next 10 minutes we waited for my partner's meal to be cooked. This means, inevitably, they left the Steak on a hot plate or under a lamp. By the time it came to me it was medium well at best. The bigger issue is that the chef, who was again, very nice and attentive, came out and personally asked if it was cooked to my liking. I showed him the steak cut and he asked if I needed it done MORE. I nicely told him that it was actually a bit overdone but fine. NOW...they did mention that their POS System was down and they seemed to be short staffed....so this could have very well caused the confusion....but I think once I said it was a bit overdone, that might have prompted and offer to re-fire a new one. The potatoes needed more salt for sure...I don't like a lot of salt at all, so believe me, the potatoes were a bit bland. I asked for the steak without their butter...which might have thrown off the spicing ritual of the chef, but the steak definitely needed Salt. I generally think most steak places actually hide behind butter and salt quite frankly, so I'm not a salt hound at all. It just simply had none it seems. The Wedge Salad was decent..the bacon was cooked perfectly, but the wedge was swimming in dressing. The flavor was OK. I LIKED the fact that they serve a four course meal as part of the entree, and I really like the menu choices. I think they really need to work on their flavor profiles and steak temperatures. My wife had the signature Salad which was Good...and she had the Glazed beef and pork dish which was good / decent. The dessert plate had a decent Tiramasu, and an actually very good warm Cocounut dessert. The cheesecake was ok. I didn't try the chocolate brownie. Overall an ok experience. A for effort. Ask for your Steak a temperature cooler and you might be good !!

Great food, BYOB, just gotta work on the interior decoration... We got the "Prix Fixe", a 4 course meal for $35. Cheese plate, Salad, Entree, Dessert. Each bit of it was delicious, especially the Calamari and the Hanger Steak. Absolutely no complaints about the food or service. However. This restaurant is in the old Clinton National Bank Building, and has been for roughly a year. The décor inside is a complete travesty! They still have the old bank drop tile ceiling with cold fluorescent lighting, warring with the warm under-bar lighting coming from the kitchen. There's art on the walls but you can't see it as none of it is properly lit and some are hidden behind (very out of place) potted plants. They seriously need to redecorate, it looks like three different places churned into one. Get some wall sconces, get a chandelier in that huge ceiling, get RID of all the cold lighting. I don't want to feel like I'm eating in an office!

If you are looking for a great meal Nataz in Clinton is fabulous. With only a few extra appetizers to choose from the rest of the menu is prix fixe. Starting with a cheese plate for the table you can choose mozzarella and tomato or a cheese platter. We opted for the mozzarella. Large thick slices sandwiched between tomato slices. After that you get a choice of 2 salads. I had the Signature salad. Then choices of lobster and crab, 6 types of steak, chicken etc. Something for everyone. Followed up with various dessert options from tiramisu to flourless chocolate torte. Rich, chocolate wedge similar to fudge. BYOB with a small cork fee. Pictures are hanger steak, lobster and crab and their scallop special. Gluten free was not a problem. Service was excellent.

Disappointing service and bad value for money if you have food intolerances.

My baby has a dairy intolerance as, as he is breastfed, I too must not eat dairy. We contacted the restaurant in advance and before booking a table to ensure they would be able to cater for a non-dairy meal, the advised that their whole menu could be adapted and they were more than happy to cater to our dietary needs.

We booked for a family reunion meal (we live in the UK and were introducing our son to his US family for the first time). When we arrived we were not seated for some time as there had been a mix up with the tables. The server couldn’t find menus and left us without any. We were told they didn’t have any high chairs any more as someone had taken them from the restaurant. Another server found us some menus eventually and were encouraged to see the menu actually stated that the restaurant was happy to cater to dietary needs, what a relief!

What they meant, however, was simply removing anything dairy from the meal almost totally without substitute. This is a very different thing indeed. We were advised to choose the fixed price menu for four courses, including a shared cheese course which I couldn’t eat. The server wasn’t sure if the bread had dairy in. They brought out an artichoke salad for me, instead which was considerate (though I wouldn’t have ordered it given the choice as I don’t actually like artichokes...). The salad was simply edited to remove the crispy onions and Gorgonzola and dressing. I was provided with oil and red wine vinegar instead. Removed items were not substituted with, say tomato or cucumber or dairy free cheese.

The main had to be steak, they couldn’t adapt anything else with great ease it turned out. It was served without any sauce and with rice and a side of veg (just a mix of squash and zucchini). Two of our table had to send their steak back as it was served rare instead of medium. The final course was dessert. I was point blank told, without apology, that I couldn’t have any of their desserts. But I could take one to go for someone else to eat if I wanted? So I paid a fixed price for a set menu I was promised could be adapted but actually just ended up with a couple of half plates of food, another I wouldn’t have paid for given the choice, and no dessert (really, not even a plate of fresh fruit?!). Absolutely would not recommend this place - they have no idea what it means to adapt a menu, simply removing dairy containing items is not catering for a dietary need. I would not have eaten here had they advised that this was how they would manage our needs, they should have been clearer when we booked.

Those who had full meals said the food was ok, but...

WE HAVE EATEN AT OTHER LOCATIONS BEFORE AND WERE VERY PLEASED WITH WHAT WE HAD EXPERIENCED. HOWEVER THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME AT THIS LOCATION. WE ARRIVED EARLY FOR OUR 5:00 PM RESERVATION, HAD TO ASK FOR THE MUSIC TO BE TURNED DOWN, SOUNDED LIKE WE WERE AT A CONCERT. FOOD WAS NOT TO MY OR MY WIFE'S LIKING. MY WIFE HAD LAMB CHOPS, THEY WERE VERY FATTY, MY WIFE ASKED FOR THEM TO BE MEDIUM, BUT THE WAITER INFORMED MY WIFE THAT THE CHEF DOES THEM MEDIUM RARE, BUT HE'LL TRY TO DO THEM MEDIUM.....WHEN THEY CAME, THEY WERE MEDIUM RARE, MY WIFE TOLD THE WAITER THAT THERE WAS A FUNNY TASTE WITH THE CHOPS. THE WAITER STATED THAT WAS THE "SIGNATURE SOY BUTTER" THAT IS APPLIED TO ALL MEAT DISHES. MASHED POTATOES WERE GOOD, VEGGIES (YELLOW SQUASH, GREEN BEANS, GREEN ITALIAN SQUASH) WERE NOT COOKED ENOUGH FOR ME, THEY WERE VERY "CRUNCHY". NOW TO MY MEAL, PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS MY WIFE'S MEAL, I HAD A FILET (STEAK).....AGAIN WITH THE SOY BUTTER.....TASTED TERRIBLE. I'M A STEAK PERSON, I ONLY LIKE A LITTLE SALT BUT A LOT OF FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER.....NOTHING ELSE, NO STEAK SAUCE, NO A1.....NOTHING ELSE!!! I ASKED THE WAITER WHAT WAS ON MY STEAK, "SIGNITURE SOY BUTTER"......HE HAD TO TELL THE CHEF BECAUSE THE CHEF APPEARED AT OUR TABLE AND PROCEEDED TO TELL US HE WAS SORRY WE DIDN'T LIKE OUR MEAL, BUT THAT THE MEAL WOULD BE ON HIM THAT NIGHT. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO BERATE ME ABOUT HOW HE'S BEEN COOKING FOR ME FOR 25 YEARS, ETC. ETC. ETC. HE SAID THAT THE MEAL WOULD BE FREE AGAIN TO ME, BUT SEEMED TO FORGET TO TELL THE WAITER THAT THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE FOR THE MEAL......I RECEIVED A CHECK, LOOKED AT IT AND WAS BILLED....MY WIFE SAID IF I WAS GIVEN A CHECK, I NEEDED TO PAY IT.......MY FREE SUPPER COST $170.00 WITH THE TIP. WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT OR ANY OF THE OTHER NATAZ'S LOCATIONS!!! I WILL NOT BE BERATED BY AN OWNER CHEF ABOUT "MY" COMPLAINT OF "MY" FOOD. I AM, AFTER ALL, THE CUSTOMER. THANKS FOR THE EXPERIENCE, HOPE YOU HAVE A...
