Cafè Nola — Restaurant in Clinton

This was supposed to be a fun after-school date with my grandson. However I cannot recommend this place at all. The owner was perched at a table next to the drinks cooler..(soda fountain was non functional), he talked rather loudly on his phone. As my 8 yr old grandson approached, we realized that he was Vaping! We voiced our displeasure of his very poor manners, and yet he continued. To make matters the worse, the YooHoo drink we pulled from the cooler was already opened. I brought it to the counter but did not see that it had actually been disposed of. It may have been put back. She acted as if she didn't believe me. This review is the short version of how bad it was. My grandson was so upset by it and worried for his health that we took the snack and drink that we had already paid for a left. We will NEVER return and I will dissuade anyone from even considering entering that business. Shame on them. Is Vaping indoors even legal in CT? Nope! And at an establishment that is offering food at that...again,...

BEST PLACE EVER! So happy to have a place downtown Clinton, CT where I can get a cup of tea anytime of the day!. The hours are great, the staff is amazing, the food is always fresh and delicious and the prices are wonderful! It’s centrally located with plenty of parking. I can’t say enough about this wonderful new café! To top it off, the front area has chairs and tables of different sizes where you can meet friends, read the newspaper and even have a meeting. The food was not pleasant at all. The bacon egg and cheese had no bacon and not tasteful eggs. The bagel melt I thought would be a sandwich but came out with just a bagel cream cheese and two slabs of cheese. Not appetizing to look at and did not taste good. We both could not finish them. The coffee was mid. Maybe their other food is better but that was not worth $30 bucks.also the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. Their faces were miserable looking.
